    Thanks for this video. I need to make these tiles for my garage simulator setup. I was wondering how they were held in place to the wall but this video explains it, thanks again.

    Awesome! Great video and thanks for positing, was curious how you had adhered the ones where you didn’t have access to the backside of the wall. How’s the Velcro holding up?

    This helped me out, I was really stuck in my garage design. I went to the marine vinyl link you have and budget wise, not really feeling the price on 34 yards in black. Any particular reason for that shop vs something way cheaper on Amazon? Budget was blown when my existing pc retrofit plan failed 😂

    Amazing work! I’m definitely going to try this out in my sim. Quick question, how did you do the Velcro? Was it strips on all four sides! Two sides? Also, where did you use the construction adhesive? Thanks!

    I think I put a big strip on the top and bottom but may have put just one big one down the middle. I ant remember exactly what it was. And I don’t believe I used any construction adhesive for these tiles

    Great video! Doing this exact same thing soon. How much bounce back do you get when a shot hits that wall next to screen? All the way back to hitting spot?

  • @GolfBusters

    @GolfBusters

    Жыл бұрын

    So if you only hit the wall in front it will bounce back somewhat fast (that’s why we put that extra padding on the blue bumper. If it double hits (for instance ceiling to wall) then it is slow enough to reach out and catch!

    @@GolfBusters thanks! If you had to do it again, would you use different foam or a different method, to reduce the bounce back?

  • @GolfBusters

    I wouldn’t! I would probably make the top part of the screen at 10 foot and still have a border on the bottom but would make it so I could detach and fold it down when playing golf and put back up when watching movies.

    @@GolfBusters awesome thank you! If you had it to do again, would you change anything about your screen size or having the bottom of the screen 12" off the floor? I want to do a 16:9 screen but in order to get to my goal of 9' high at the top like yours, it would be too wide for my room. I'm a little concerned about skulled shots hitting the panel beneath the screen, but I think that raising the bottom of the screen is going to be my best option.

  • @GolfBusters

    The width is perfect at 14 feet. The height is perfect for 97 percent of people. I have 2 or 3 tall guys that can hit their 60 degree above the screen. The bumper will come back but not fast at all, I did have to add that extra padding to make that happen though. I love the look of the wall so I would probably keep the bumper but if I was to do it again I would probably make it 16 by 9 with the bumper on the bottom because at 10 feet of height I don’t think anyone would hit above the screen. If I was to do it again I would consider having all screen in front of me and only padding above to the right and left with no flat surfaces that could cause bounce back. But again, when the padding is done right the bounce back is fine.

    So I’m gonna try and do these panels on the side walls. I’m gonna have a 16x10 screen but my ceiling will be 14 foot tall. What would you do for the wall above the screen since you said you wouldn’t surround the screen with the panels if you did it again.

  • @GolfBusters

    @GolfBusters

    Honestly your probably fine at 9 feet of height for the screen. Now that I’ve used it more no one hits about the screen. There’s one guy and he figured out how to not hit it anymore.

  • @dannyshore4987

    If I have a 9ft ceiling any issue just doing the screen to the top maybe a couple inches shy and padding the ceiling still?

  • @GolfBusters

    @GolfBusters

    Жыл бұрын

    I think that would work fine. You would have a rare ball that would hit the padding above the screen but I think it would operate well and probably softer than mine. 9 feet ceilings may be tight swinging driver but every other club should be good
