How to Create DRYWALL ART/ Bas-Relief MURAL

Ойын-сауық

I used these tools for carving: Kemper Ceramic Loop Tools
www.kqzyfj.com/click-10018063...
These did the job, but 3 of them broke during the process -XIEM Mini Ribbon Tool Set www.kqzyfj.com/click-10018063...
These are the ones that I'll be using in the future for small details: Sgraffito and detailing tools, set of 7
www.tkqlhce.com/click-1001806...
These are the paints that I used:
Modern Masters Reactive Metallic Copper Paint: amzn.to/3QxMeSp
Modern Masters Metal Effects Blocking Primer amzn.to/3RWgWpt
Modern Masters Green Metal Effects aging solution: amzn.to/3L67dLd
This is the Drywall mud that I used, you can find it at your home improvement store for half the price, probably. amzn.to/3U62Nrw

Hehe, there's drywall, and then there's DRYWALL! It's pretty fascinating what you can do with such a humble product, isn't it?

Awesome video Laura San! You did an excellent piece here. This reminds me of how my dad grew up poor and his mom would send him in the back yard to collect dandelions for supper lol

Beautiful piece. It looks so elegant In your kitchen. And really appreciated hearing about your processes. I couldn’t imagine on working on something this big but watching this video was definitely inspiring for me.

Thank you, Clara! Definitely a long and committal journey, but it was worth it in the end. Nothing like challenging yourself with the unknown and coming out the other end a more knowledgeable(albeit still ignorant in so many other ways)person 😀🙌. So glad you enjoyed it ☺️

Really cool to see how it turned out, Laura! Nice warm color for the kitchen too. Also, I liked how you pretended to find that bucket heavy at the start...

Thanks so much, Queldar! I really love the way it came out, although in time I might try the oxidation process again. I don't know about that bucket...I don't remember that moment at all. I might have genuinely found it heavy, I never joke around😀🙌

It was hard to find plaster painting that was not abstract as I was working on a multimedia piece deciding between color or tonal. I absolutely love the metallic quality and it was beautiful at so many stages.

in the future...if you want thicker joint compound without needing to mix in anything i suggest you buy all purpose joint compound in the box...not bucket... the box mud is thicker and more stout to work with for these purposes.
