Been looking on here for videos about making recovery disks, and yours have been really helpfull. also followed your guide to making an all edtion windows 7 ISO to put on this USB too.

So, the HBCD is an other version of windows with which you can fix your unbootable main windows. Right?

Yes, it is a Windows Pre-Installed Environment, like a Temporary Windows that you can use to fix your main Windows.

@@memstechtips Another question, after installing ventoy onto the flash drive, I wanna check if HBCD boots up. But if I do so, will anything happen to my main perfectly working windows?

@@chip_top No, your main windows will be fine. If you boot into HBCD, your PC will just boot into your main windows after a reboot.

Hi i got three questions : 1. Why are you using the word DISC for a USB drive - its a USB thumb drive 2. I followed your video, but i get a error - " Windows failed to start......there isnt enough memory available to create a ramdisk device" 3. you didn't include your answer file in the drive ?

Hey there! 1. I don't know, haven't really thought about it. 2. See if you can boot in another method (UEFI or CSM) 3. This video was made looong before my answer file.

When it comes to "Enrol key from disk", my PC (MSI mobo) hangs, and I have to hard reset it. 😕

That's strange. Have you tried turning off secure boot in the BIOS settings then? That should also work.

@@memstechtips Yep, that works, but I was hoping to find out why the "Enrol Key from disk" option didn't work. Further Googling seems to indicate it's an MSI specific issue.

I"M like a French Maid---- I DON"T DO WINDOWS... (but then, even GATES has admitted that even MICROSOFT--- runs LINUX).... how much of this works for LINUX if any?

As far as I know you can use Linux to create the Bootable USB as well as Ventoy has a Linux version as well. So it should work perfectly fine.

@@memstechtips I"m not talking about a bootable USB-- i'm talking about turning a RUNNING DISTRO into an ISO... that can THEN be burned to ventoy or whatever.

@@memstechtips MX has snapshot that does that-- and they SAY it can be used from a LIVE usb to do that on OTHER distros.. but HOW? If you have the USB in the slot- you can't open the other distro without turning that off.
