There are elements to the target operating system that need to be included in virus/trojan/malware search & removal operations such as the windows registry for the users as well as the computer. For this reason executable programs should only be run when the currently running operating system is the target (ideally in safe mode with all unnecessary start-up and in some cases non-essential/irrelevant drivers disabled to give it the best chance of being clean) and recovery/boot images used when you want an ultimate clean boot to work on a target operating system. Knowing the limitations and capability of both methods are product specific and should be familiar before proceeding. I am currently looking at the commercial comodo as the director claims it sandboxes every executable it doesn't know about and keeps a separate versions of the files created/modified/deleted until the executable is confirmed legitimate.

Unfortunately, this tool will not bypass Bitlocker encryption. You will need the key to get past this, that's the whole point of the encryption. If you don't need any data on the drive, you could reinstall, but be mindful, that will wipe out all data.

Interesting facts on formatting disks: Formatting a disk requires three steps: low-level formatting, which establishes the tracks, sectors, etc.; partitioning; and high-level formatting. Formatting a floppy disk does all three steps, while you can only do a high-level format to each hard disk partition, and only after a partition table is created with a separate utility. Yes, even a floppy disk has a partition table. On the low-level formatting of floppies: there were schemes to pack more data onto the diskettes, and they started with the track layouts.

I have had it work with Secure Boot, but it's a pain. I recommend just disabling secure boot if you are booting anything other than Windows from USB. To make it work with secure boot, you have to add the certificate and an entry for that particular boot image to your boot menu. Again, it's kind of a pain, but possible.

Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. With the price of flash drives today, 22GB is pretty cheap. I respect your opinion though. This is another reason that I took it a step further and showed the community how to use Ventoy to create your multi-boot USB, and even add MediCat to that USB if you so choose. Hello, I joined your channel and gave it a warm thumbs-up! However, just a wee comment because I cannot keep quiet on this point any longer. I am an English teacher, in Australia and am appalled at the constant violence being done to the English language. So many ''You Guys this, and You Guys that.'' Verily drives me to drink! You as a pronoun is both second person singular and second person plural. It's the most elementary grammatical-rule possible. Now, if you used ''you lads'' instead---this might put a refreshingly delightful spin on things. Just a, mischievous, thought...😀

While I wandered into this video w/ content way above my head, I do have the expertise to comment on this point regarding grammar. Beyond addressing the use of colloquialism, "You" has been used as an adjective to modify the noun in the vocative* case, "guys." It answers which guys... not these, not those, but you guys. Also you, plural, is "understood." *vocative case, AKA direct address

@@dab9018 This brought back memories using the vocative case in my schoolboy Latin grammar, as in O Caesar! And what you say is true, however, is it ideal? If men are addressed as guys they will behave as such, but address them as gentlemen, such will rise to the occasion /station. Just a wee thought in a world of perpetual dumb-ing down.
