    For those who wish to avoid boiling the pearls for so long and save time.. I would suggest soaking the pearls overnight before boiling it.. This would save alot of your cooking time and would cook really fast..

    It's starch balls. Soaking it in cold water will dissolve it make it crumble and dissolve. That's why you have to put it in boiling water instead of adding it in water then bring it to a boil.

    Thank you. The last time I cooked these I did them in my crockpot. I use the “sticky water version with pearls cooked as clear as possible because the uncooked ‘kernel’ is hard and ruins a batch”. When almost done I add raw apple slices (am thinking about using a couple cans of pie filling) butter sugar and cinnamon and cook until apples are tender. Then cool and chill in fridge overnight. It is so yummy! A cherished dessert from my childhood. B4 the crockpot we cooked the pearls on the stove (can also do in a slow oven and stir occasionally until the fruit sugar cinnamon and butter are added). I never found a recipe for my family version but it is such a treat! Alas it is hard to find the large white pearls except in bulk and $$$. The quick tapioca is good got the custard version but for the fruit version they don’t have the magic. And I read they are a good source of fiber and think they are keto whatever that is.

    Sorry to heart that, if you followed exact cooking step by steps. It usually will be soft and get fully cooked. If that so, one possible reason is, the tapioca maybe old stocks already. It made from starch so if it gets too old, it could be broken or vise versa when cooking. Thanks for watching.

    Please help, how can i make them black for bubble tea?

  • @tgktrixie4525

    @tgktrixie4525

    3 жыл бұрын

    White tapioca is different.. For Bubble tea, it uses Black boba Pearls. If you got this white tapioca and ready for Bubble tea to make. Here’s your can do. Put cooked 1/2 cup white tapioca to the pot add 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 Tbsp water. Medium heat and stir constantly until sugar completely dissolved. It will work but just expect that White tapioca is less chewy and not that so sweet like the black Pearls. Hope it helps.

    Hi! Unfortunately if that happened you cannot fix it. You have to cook another batch again. When you try to cook again and if you really worried. Just put more water boiling for 1 cup of tapioca to be safe and stir it often. Thanks for watching. Good luck for your 2nd time cooking.

    You can follow this same step but you have to cook it differently. The minutes to cook small sago/tapioca is shorter and quicker and you don’t need to let it sit overnight. Thanks for watching.

    Sorry to heard what happen to your tapioca, anyway did you let the water boiling first before you pour your tapioca? If yes, other possible reason too that some tapioca when gets old they don’t hold shapes when cooking and it just turn to like a paste. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching.

    The water must be boiling before you put the tapioca and if that what you did, it’s ok sometimes White tapioca could not hold their shapes round. Just continue to cook them even semi round size it will still turn clear and get cooked. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching.

    @@tgktrixie4525 Wow you are still replying! Thank you so much, that's really appreciated 😊. I tried to cook them at lower heat and left them over night, but they've rarely increased in size. It’s ok if after overnight they are not translucent yet, they will in the 2nd time/final. Wash it and cook one more time for 10 mins. Do same in the video. By the way, White Tapiocas have two types or sizes and cooking methods are different. They have small and big like what in my video. Good luck for cooking. Thanks for watching.
