Today I've tried the recipe and it tastes AMAZING!! i made exact half of the recipe, my dough wasn't like one in the video but adding a bit more warm water solved it! I suggest to add a bit less cocoa powder for those who don't want it to taste so chochy. I loved the recipe and will do it again soon!!! Thanks Nino! Love from Turkey💕

Smaller recap, in case you don't wanna watch the whole video and go step by step by that! For Boba Pearls! 1: In a small mixing bowl, Combine 1 Cup of Tapioca starch, as well as roughly 1 teaspoon of Cocoa powder. Whisk until both ingredients are completely combined. Set aside! 2: Add a 1/4 cup of brown sugar into a pot, as well as a Teaspoon of Tapioca Starch and 70ml of Water. Mix gently for the flour to dissolve! 3: Put it on low heat and mix while it's on, since the mixture cooks real fast. Keep mixing until it has a somewhat slimy texture, then you can take it off the heat. 4: Now add in the Tapioca Starch and Cocoa Powder mixture to the pot, stir it in with a spatula. (Mix very well, but be careful, since the tapioca is heavy and very easy to escape the pot. Mix it gently and knead it later so that you don't make a mess!💢) 5: You can now dump it out on to a surface (It will be very dry, since it hasn't absorbed the water yet) and knead whilst it is still warm. (Be careful not to burn yourself! ♥) 6: When the dough is smooth, then stop. Divide the dough into four parts. Roll into a long shape, then cut up into smaller pieces, that way you can roll them into little spheres for your boba! ♥ 7: Sift on some tapioca starch, that way it won't stick together, like your clingy ex! 💢 8: Add the pearls into some boiling water, stir them around that way they don't stick to the bottom! You should boil them for about 20 minutes on medium heat. (Remember to check in on it continuously, and if they burn, you will eat hot garbage! 💢) 9: Once done boiling, take it off of the heat and close the cover, let it set for 30 minutes. This process helps to cook the pearls thoroughly. (Don't touch the pot, or else you will hurt yourself, and you will not enjoy your boba. 💢) 10: Once the process is finished, you can drain the boba and get rid of all the nasty, murky water, for you will not need it anymore! 11: Add the cooked boba into another pot, add 50ml of Water in with the boba, as well as 2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar. Put the mixture on low heat for 5 minutes (and be sure to mix it constantly this time!) by this time, the liquid should be thicker, like caramel texture. (This way, it drizzles and sticks onto the cup easier!) For Milk Tea, #1! 1: In a filter, add in a tablespoon of black tea. Set the filter inside of a cup. You can pour take some boiling hot water (you can adjust the measurements, depending on how you like it! ♥) Preferably until the filter is fully submerged! 2: Brew for around 15 minutes, by then you should be able to take the filter out! (let it drip, drip, drip before you take it away to empty!) Add in a teaspoon of Brown Sugar into the tea as well as a 1/2 cup Milk Powder. You can now stir until the powder and sugar is dissolved, and it comes together! ♥ For Milk Tea, #2! 1: Put 2 Tea Bags inside of a cup, (make sure the paper part is sticking out of the cup and hanging off the side!) as well as 100ml of boiling hot water. Brew for 10 minutes! (After done brewing, squeeze it harder than you squeeze your mom when you hug her, that way, you can get more tea out of it! ♥) 2: Add in 2 Tablespoons of Brown or White Sugar,(which you can adjust.) Then stir until it dissolves! 3: After the process of adding in the boba, ice, and tea, you can go ahead and add in 140ml of milk into the drink!

Didn't he say 125 grams of tapioca starch, which converts to roughly 1 cup (according to Google), and not 1/2 cups? As well as 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder not being 10 grams? I think there is a bit of a problem in your conversions. You should change this, because some people will use this recipe and not get the results they were looking for due to these misleading amounts.

Hi everyone! I tried making this and it was great except…… Idk if it was just because of where I live but my fought was a bit too dry(I’m not blaming anyone) so my advice for you is to use 10-20g less starch. Second of all, I didn’t really enjoy the chocolaty aftertaste of the boba( Just a personal thing) , I know it gives the boba a darker colour without adding food colouring but it tastes better if you leave it out. This recipe is GREAT, after all the tweaks, it tasted sooooo good. I’ve made boba a lot of times and this is my go-to recipe!! Oh I almost forgot, after the boba is cooked and done soaking, it should be fully translucent without a dot in the middle. If you see a lighter coloured dot in the middle of your boba, it means it’s not fully cooked, so cook it until the dot disappears then follow the rest of nino’s steps!! ENJOY!!! I personally don’t drink tea or coffee, so I usually pair it with fresh milk or taro milk:) taro milk is basically cooked and mashed taro combined with milk until it’s a liquidy state(I like to strain it afterwards) , my family loves it!❤❤ Love from Hong kong 🇭🇰

I cut the recipe in Half and it’s perfect. Not overly sweet. You can’t mess this up. It’s extremely easy. If your dough gets too dry while rolling you can add a sprinkle of water (or spray it I don’t don’t have a spray bottle so I just use my hands) to keep from drying up.

I couldn't figure out why my tea was always so watery after adding milk. How did I not think of milk powder! That's fantastic! Thank you!

From trying this recipe: it tastes like the authentic tapioca boba a shop that handmakes all their pearls has . And the dough will not dry for 6-12h if it's in an airtight Tupperware container. Also a better method for flouring the balls is putting some flour at the bottom of a (good size) bowl and swirling the boba around

WHY THIS LOOKS THIS PRETTY I WANNA TRY IT ASAP 😭

For people who have dried up tapioca dough left over: you can make the dough soft again by putting it in the microwave for 10-20 seconds (though the amount of time you put it in for alters depending on the amount of dough you have) and putting a little bit of water! Though you have to work quite fast because the dough dries up quicker. Of course you can always put it back in the microwave if it dries up again :) hope this helps!

@:0 maybe you can use steamer? it's just my guess only, when we dont want to use microwave for reheating foods cause it is strong in power consumption and it will blow up your electricity bill.
