Maybe it is a rice and beans recipe prepared with red beans. If so then cook the rice and beans without adding any ingredients, prepare the stew separate and serve with the plain rice and beans.

Hey! I would be interested to hear what are your secrets to stay fit and healthy ? Because what I've seen is that Nigerians eats a lot of protein, rice, vegetables and fruits but also sugar. Also the spicys are part of your nutrition. How is the fitness side? What do you do to stay fit? And I'm asking for female opinion. :o)

Hi dear, I think the "secret" is that we cook everything from scratch, we don't use packaged or processed food and ingredients, we don't eat lots of desserts and sugary stuff, the ladies don't drink beer (lots of calories in those lol) and finally, maybe it's in our genes to look that way. I don't know if what we eat is healthy though LOL. The hot peppers we use do not contibute much calories, just vitamins cos they are vegetables really.

when you cook all those things well done, especially meat, fish etc you have removed all the fat. A lot of pple don't cook well. Also, Nigerians don't sit idle... there is a lot of things to be done. After eating you have to move around, just do something so that all those things you ate won't settle one place. Is just like asking chinese pple what they do to stay fit, that can be nature too.
