After making the leap of faith and purchasing the Symphobia Library from ProjectSAM, and then realizing I needed to also purchase Kontakt in order for me to customize the different controls for the Seabaord... I’m completely lost on what to do. Everything I’ve seen or read online for the setup, hasn’t been fully explained properly. Finally! Not only did you provide the most thorough video on the setup, but you also included your saved .nki files! I’ve been looking for a downloadable file/script forever! Thank you!

Note that you can actually get higher pitch bend range than 12 in kontakt by simply adding additional pitch bend modulators. Two modulators with 12 note bend will be 24 total etc.

Awesome Sanjay..you've answered some of the questions I had..If you had a choice between the Expressive E Touche and the seaboard....which device do you think would be most useful for all these kind of vibrato type effects as you've used them here? (I'm currently using an old 88 key Klavinova as a midi keyboard...but it has no built in pitch wheel or modulation...so wondering whether these devices could actually complement it well...) Thanks!

Simple question can you use it with Spitfire Audio or 8dio libraries? Also can this be used with cubase on a PC? Thx

Equator is a VST so yes it should work with Cubase. I’m not sure about the other two things you mentioned.

When I make these adjustments and save the instrument settings the pitch bend to 12 never stays at 12z anytime I reopen my preset for an instrument the pitch bend setting is always back to its default setting. Any clue why it would do that?

No, you shouldn’t need extra speakers just for the seaboard. Maybe check the track volume or plugin volume.

Does anyone know someone who knows Ableton MIDI Remote Scripts well? I know how to make them, but the API isn't particularly well documented. I've had an idea on how to get the seaboard and light pad's MPE record and played back successfully by Live with the use of a single midi track, an M4L midi effect and a custom control surface.

I tried to put single channel, because I've a seabord block, and then follow your instructions and it didn't work :(

I saw you have the Signal Engine by Output Instruments. Have you been able to use the seaboard block with any of the Output libraries? they dont give me the wrench icon. Only the gears.

You can right click some “knobs” or sliders on the interface and click the learn option to train your Seaboard. :-)

Sanjay C yes. I have favorite ones. But I interested your opinion. for example make top 5 library for orchestral music. I don't have many libraryes beacouse I don't have disk space. My favorite library is Cinestrings core, all Cinestrings. Lumina, Novo, Rhapsody percussion, Aeris choir's. Also Philarmonik 2, Bigbang, for piano addective keys, and Arturia's all libraryes. These are all I have. But my laptop can not cope 😣 also I have just 10 gb free 😃. What do you say is a good choice?

Make sure your MIDI channels are the same. The midi channel that is set in Dashboard and the midi channel of Kontakt.

Set your Seaboard for single channel (instead of MPE). you can do that in Roli Dashboard. That should work.

I followed all the steps and it didn't work :/ my seabord doesn't even sound. What am I doing wrong? I'm using kontakt 6 on REAPER in windows 10

I can't seem to get mine to work, idk if it's an FLstudio issue or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I set it up the same as you did in the video or atleast I believe I did but nothing gets automated

I used the session libraries in my cinematic video, although I didn't use the Seaboard to play those sounds. The session libraries are more for programming/sequencing. So they are not so playable. I wouldn't use the Seaboard to control them. HOWEVER...I'm still learning too, so I may change my mind ;-)

I see. There are so many good libraries in the Komplete Ultimate package, was hoping the Seaboard would work better with it - at least Equator has some really good sounds though.. Hope they will make sample/preset packages in the future for people to buy or something like on the NOISE app! Your videos are great, keep it coming;)

I like Ableton Live. Logic is also really nice if you have a Mac. Logic has nice sounds. I like the Ableton workflow.

Ballerini, you’ll need to create a multi channel instrument setup in Kontakt if you want to do MPE tricks with multiple notes at the same time. Maybe I’ll cover that in a future video.
