Please make an updated video with Kontakt 14, I'm asking as a Rise 2 owner. So much has changed, I've also seen other people use 4 MIDI outputs using the rise 2 in Logic Pro. Also please show me how to connect the Kontakt library with the one Logic Pro has.

Is there a quick way to change the preset of the all the instruments in the multi at once ? Now i am changing the presets one by one for each instrument in the multi, there should be a better way

Is there a way to easily apply this to a bunch of instruments in one go? Maybe some sort of macro?

This would be why I'm returning my rise 49. I want plug and play. I spend more time trying to get my stuff to work than making music. It's frustrating. Maybe in a few years when these technologies really talk to each other, will I revisit it.

That's exactly how I feel. I'm keeping my Seaboard Block simply because it's amazing to use with Equator, it's great for experimenting and ideas, but with something that is not Equator... oh boy...

If you want to plug and play, a MIDI controller isn't for you. You want a workstation keyboard with in-built sounds. The Seaboard RISE is a very versatile controller and therefore takes time to set it up to achieve the best results.

IR24 absolute nonsense. I have the same issue with my song makers kit. I spend waaay too much time configuring the expressions from MPE to parameters to make it work. Pretty much any midi controller on the market is plug and play aside from this one. It’s a nightmare...oh and they still don’t have a dashboard for iOS which means you have to plug in the blocks to a computer to configure the modes when u working with iPad. The whole del is shoddy and they didn’t partner with nearly enough companies to make this work and encourage widespread adoption. So not we don’t want a workstation, we just want this one to work properly and not be half assed and spend hours mapping and tweaking

@@IsaacRaine63 That's not true. I ended up replacing my rise with a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61. I LOVE it. It works with Cubase 10 right out of the box, not to mention that the NKS technology is awesome! It is exactly what I was looking for.

The MIDI End Channel doesn't go below 2. What can I do?

Using Kontakt 6 I couldn't (really) hear the mono aftertouch altering the volume/amplifier or the distortion having any real effect. For some reason I was editing the 'Noises' only instead of the 'Jazz Guitar'. Found that out while clicking on the Group Editor tab. Works fine now. Thanks

Can I do this with the paid version Kontakt 7 and Seaboard Rise, but without Logic Pro? Everything I’m seeing you do is in Kontakt.

Can I do this with pro tools 12?

The MIDI End Channel does ot accept "1" (1:00). When I type in "1" in the MIDI End Channel it takes in the value as "2"

As someone already said, put it to single channel

Same as other people -- the updated Kontakt doesn't have the same way to get to Edit Mode

Can it be easier to setup like out of the box?

Not even recognising the Seaboard Block - despite it playing Equator and Strobe 2 quite happily.. Grrrr!

I use it with Bitwig, it performs really well by itself! the only problem i encountered was that sometimes midi signal wouldn't record dimensions as exactly as i played, so I had to make an audio channel to record the audio from midi channel so that it would play back exactly I have played.

@@1ost147 Hi 1ost, seems you are the expert here. Is roli multichannel with kontakt on bitwig working well for you still? It seems after going through the setup, my kontakt loaded on bitwig can't receive multichannel but only on channel one. If you know any tricks i would love to hear, thanks!

The ROLI Dashboard interface won't even allow me to set "1" as MIDI End Channel, it just keeps changing it to "2". What gives?

You Can't change others plugins in Kontakt with the same easy way. The others don't have Pitch Band Range easy, I don't find it"You do this only in Factory Kontakt Library. I Have Emotional Cello and the same problem can't configure.

Apparently it doesn't exist on the free version...

did somebody use this with LA Scoring Strings? I cannot get the CC74 to control anything at all, wanted to use it for velocity, mono aftertouch seems to work, but CC 74 won't work at all for me :(

Why does my dashboard look completely different. The program claims to be up-to-date but for example I can't configure midi end channel to 1. I can only make it go to 2.

just delete the old dashboard and redownload it on rolis homepage. u will get the right version then. the updater seems broken...

it has changed slightly as i just saw :D i got the seaboard working with the slide and stuff, BUT: if i slide (pitch) one note, it will act like a pitch wheel pitching everything :-/

I'm so goddamn disappointed by having spent decades learning FL Studio for them to just go "nah, we don't do really neat performance protocols like MDE". I like the DAW well enough despite its massive shortcomings, so much so that it is my favorite among all of them, but not supporting MPE is a freaking tragedy and they've been doing literally NOTHING for the better part of the last five years.

in 5 years mb this hardware will be useful. Too many hoops to jump thru, different settings on different instruments daws and so on. Shits just too complicated. music making should be little bit more seamless. and all the apps that comes with seaboard - dashboard, noise app studio player and so on. Shits like a labyrinth. Love the idea tho

Late reply here, but... sure, as there's more support for mpe things will change. That said, you're making music on a computer with instruments made by tons of different companies who all want to do things their own way. Of course it's going to come with some complexity.

Please note: All of this will not work with Kontakt 7 anymore. Don't waste your time.

Such a long trip... I've already lost my desire for playing music! Kontakt is pure trash technology! Old school rompler from dinosaur era! No MPE support, no good stretch algorithm, no anything, trashy sounding effects! Falcon is the future today!
