@Endomou Agreed! When they reached out to me it was exciting to see it was from Ugreen. My full setup and channel is kept together using their ethernet cables aha. You should definitely try their buds out if you don't already have them, they are on sale for even less than normal rn too, I was very pleasantly surprised by how good they are for the price.

@@Octorious Thanks, will try this. Had this AliExpress bluetooth connector that doesn't work at all with it. It connects but then it doesn't actually work. I thought the problem lied with the headset but suppose it's the Bluetooth controller/driver/codec on it. Thanks again :)

I think it's a little upsetting I have an 600$ console and 200 earbuds and I still have to buy something to get them to work together. Total scam

They should release a system software update for the Bluetooth so we can use any Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth speaker they did that with the Nintendo switch :)

The only headset I've found which works without any issues on the PS3, 4, and 5, is the "PlayStation Wireless headset 2.0"

Yeah, it's not that hard to figure out why they don't issue an update. They want you to buy their headset or headsets that are licensed by Sony for playstation. I don't like it either but it's easy to understand

I went and bought a dongle today, but mine turned out to have no pairing button. So I found out I cannot connect earbuds. I plugged it into the laptop and paired them there using windows. Then plugged it back into PS4. But it doesn't show up in the Devices and I cannot switch sound to it. I figure out it's the wrong dongle, but how the heck am I supposed to know which dongle I need?

I bought this to pair to my turtle beach stealth 700’s and it connected the first time around, the second time I booted up my PS5 it worked again but later on that day my headset would just not connect to it regardless how many times I tried it, it just blinks in blue as if it’s in pairing but never connects to the headset

I attempted to connect my ghostek so drop 2.0 wireless head phones, it didn't connect. It did connect to my Blue tooth BW speaker and wireless ear bud. Yet wouldn't connect to my so drop 2.0 headphones.

Okay, first of all thank you for this video!! My current headset gets pretty uncomfy after a some time so I thought of buying a new one. I already know that the one I have in mind isn't compatible with the PS5 unless I decide to connect it with a cable but man, I want a wireless headset... So, now my question: Do I have to use the mic adapter thing thats sent with the usb adapter in order to talk to my friends? Or will the mic on my headset work if I connect it via this method? I’m using the Bose 700’s with my ps5. Sounds great! (using the low lat Skull & Co usb c wireless adapter) But no, it won’t use the mic on the headset, but rather default to the Controller Mic.

You can with the Skull & Co usb c wireless adapter. I use with my Bose headphones and Apple AirPods. You can pair both and listen to both at the same time.

Recently just got a avantree dongle for my ps5 and it sounds terrible... it sounds muffled and sound like lim underwater. I tried it on my pc and it sound crystal clear so i know it cant be the dongle or my wireless headser fault. I turned off 3d audio and it does nothing.

Don’t you mean the bt-w3 and bt-w4? Those are the only adapter with voice chat support

I tried it with my PS5. Wanted to connect play station with JBL speakers through Bluetooth. Tried using a different (cheaper) USB Bluetooth connector but that did not work. Had to use this one. Idk why but this Bluetooth connector worked. No need to change anything in accessories settings. Just both devices in pairing mode and it's connected automatically. The experience may help someone

The issue with regular bluetooth dongles is you have no way to initiate the connection via the PS5 OS. The sort of dongle used in the video just finds the audio device and connects automatiaclly with no UI needed.

With the method in the video :) As long as they support bluetooth, it'll work. You don't have to plug anything into the headset/buds.

Bro. If it says unsupported bluetooth device, just connect ur headphones to the tv. It even works in ps4.

The BT-W3 doens't connect to everything. It connected to my Sony wf-c500 earbuds no problem, but won't connect to my Cowin se7 headphones even though they use the SBC codec. Bit of a disappointment.

Technically yes, but I'd recommend using the dongle when using it with the PS5 as that will support some features from the headset that standard bluetooth won't necessarily allow. You're better off contacting where you bought the headset from or Sony themselves, and asking if you can purchase a replacement dongle with instructions for pairing it to the new headset. It might end up being a case of you having to send the headset off to them and they send it you back with a working dongle.

Thank you for the video. I've had some real trouble connecting Bluetooth earphones on PS5 and PS3... What quality is the sound through the USB dongle thing please, is there a delay ? I've used a cheapie USB Bluetooth dongle from China and the sound has a 2 second delay 😒 waste of time, but it did connect!

No worries! 😊 If your device supports the aptx codecs, then you'll have literally no delay and the audio is great. If it's using any other codec when linked, then there will be the standard Bluetooth audio delay of about 1 secs, though sound quality is still great

If they can bluetooth to a phone and the phone classes them as an audio device and not another sort of Bluetooth device, then I don't see any reason as to why they wouldn't be able to connect to the PS5.
