Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi everyone,
Today I will be sharing my tips and advice for concealing under eye hollows, dark circles and eye bags. I’ve always been so self conscious of mine and they’ve become much more prominent as I've aged. It can be tricky when applying concealer to mature under eyes, but I feel as though I've finally found a method that works for me. I know this issue can really affect confidence, so I’m hoping that by sharing this method, it might help you too ☺️
Thanks for stopping by 💕

    That was a brilliant video. Thank you so much!! You explained every detail of what you were doing in a way that made so much sense. What I loved was the way you continually repeated the fact that you only placed the concealer on the areas that required the attention. Not to take it too far up the eye. As that makes everything look Pear Shaped!! I have been waiting and waiting for a step by step video exactly like that for such a long time. Now I feel like going into the bathroom and trying it out. Lol You saved me!! Concealer is not my friend. I hate it. I never really understood the need for it. Never understood why the younger girls paint half their faces with it. Of course the reason was they don’t have wrinkles, hollows or dark circles!! But what exactly were they trying to achieve? You have just explained to me how Concealer should be used. It’s true purpose, and I’d like to thank you so much!! 🩷

    Thank you! This is great advice. I’ve been literally ‘haunted’ by my purple shadows for as long as I can remember and I use concealer every day - even if it’s a ‘no make up day’. Your tip about getting a lighter concealer is right- I’ve around six concealers and I remember the one I liked best was a lighter one - I can’t get it any more. But I also have quite prominent eye bags (forget fat pads- mine resemble shoulder bags!) any advice for these? I also have a lot of wrinkles under my eyes as a result of trying to wear contact lenses years ago.

  • @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    Hi Jillian 🩷 The key is actually to avoid bringing the foundation over the concealer at all, or vice versa! I simply blend them together, a bit like with different eye shadow colours! That way the concealer stays under your eyes and the foundation on your face, avoiding any caking or heaviness 💗 Do let me know if you give it a try, would love hear how you get on! 🥰💖 xx

    I have a violin( fiddle) that is very old and I once was invited to a music studio house that some really good musicians owned. In that house there was a room for working on instruments. My friend, took my violin and took it apart! he made adjustments to the thickness of the top face of the violin and put it back together. He explained to me that it was a good violin, and if I now played it well, it would develop fractures in the shellac that allowed beautiful vibrations to resonate from my violin. He explained that the common vibrations cause common wrinkles in the finish and if the music played is not beautiful, the wrinkles will not be the kind that allow good sounds ( vibrations) . the reason I am saying this is that the texture of a persons face will be lovely if they express lovely feelings. You, and others with a lovely disposition, develop a tell tale beauty that even from a distance shows the lovely nature of their thoughts and feelings. perhaps do not hide the signs of your sweet self. it will be beautiful because of your nature...perhaps, : )

    Ty when I saw these videos about how to cover the hollow under the eye, I’m like son of a gun I never even thought because I always just apply a little concealer and it always look nice. I always got compliments, but there was still that little spot right there in the crevice that sometimes I thought showed through and then I’ve also seen videos where you can apply a color corrector and that one spot very lightly and then go over it with your concealer. I always put my make up on first which is attended moisturizer. I don’t really use foundation or sometimes a cushion foundation and then I would do my concealer, but I’m definitely gonna try your way because it makes sense!!!😉

  • @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    Ай бұрын

    Hi Lori ☺️ Oh I totally feel you when it comes to a wing. I rarely do them and for that reason! It can be tricky with deep set eyes, but it is possible! So when I do a wing, I always use a dark eyeshadow, rather than an actual liner. I find shadow more forgiving if you make a mistake! I don’t pull my eye to the side, instead I keep my eye open and follow my bottom lash line out to the side. So basically just an extension of that lower lash line. You might find that the wing looks a little more ‘straight’ than with people without deep set eyes, but that is perfectly normal. I don’t create a huge wing, just something quite subtle and eyeshadow is great for practising this! My tip would be to avoid pulling your eye or distorting it in any way, just look straight ahead into your mirror and create it with eyes resting as normal 🙂 The only brush I can use for a wing is the Sigma E06 winged liner brush. It’s my absolute holy grail liner brush, I genuinely can’t do a wing with _any_ other brush! It’s amazing, so easy to use and ideal for beginners ☺️🩷

    Hi there! So I’ve only ever used the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder and being honest…I don’t like it at all 😩 I know it’s a holy grail for so many, but it genuinely ages me by about 10 years! 😒 However from what I know, the Brightening version that you mention was formulated specifically for the under eye area; so it’s probably much better and I’m guessing you’ll get less settling into fine lines. It sounds like it’ll give a good brightening effect along with mattifying the area too 😊💕

  • @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    23 күн бұрын

    Oh gosh I’m sorry! Did you use a lighter shade of concealer? I’m only putting the concealer *in the line/contour* - only where it *dips* in. If you’re still concerned with darkness outside of that area, you can use a different shade of concealer (one that matches your skin tone more) in that area. You just have to make sure that you only use a lighter shade in that hollow part that dips in. Thats because adding a light colour ‘brings things forward’ and similarly, adding a dark shade would ‘push things back’. We are adding light because we want to give the illusion of bringing that contour forward, making the hollow seem less visible! Sometimes you just need to keep practicing! It can take a few tries, for sure. Good luck, don’t give up trying 🩷☺️

    Do you do anything to prevent crows feet?

  • @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    23 күн бұрын

    Hi there! Crows feet are so tricky to prevent! Firstly, keep the under eye area fully hydrated by using plumping serums that contain active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. Serums are great at penetrating and firming. My best piece of advice would be to avoid accentuating them. So basically use a very minimal amount of concealer in that area (or none at all if you can!) and I would also avoid using powder in that area too. I never powder near my crows feet because that area is constantly moving and powder can accentuate lines terribly! The only foolproof way outside of all this would be Botox. Sorry if that’s not helpful at all 🩷

  • @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    @CarmelNicoleBeauty

    2 ай бұрын

    Hey there! Oh gosh, I know- it’s very confusing! 🫤 This is because we should try to match our concealer to our skin tone (light, medium, dark etc) and also to our undertone (cool, warm, neutral, olive) And this in itself is a huge task! On top of this, we all have our specific eye concerns! Nightmare! 😩 It sounds as though you found a colour corrector that cancelled out your darkness quite well! Have a look at what the undertone of that corrector is and find a concealer that has the same undertone. I genuinely believe that you can you can get colour correction from your concealer, no need to buy a separate one. I would definitely advise going to a makeup counter of your choice & get them to experiment on which cancels out your darkness the best. It really is trial & error! Don’t give up- there will be a perfect concealer out there for you somewhere! 🩷🩷

    Hi Ruth ☺️ Oh I understand, under eyes can be so frustrating! I think your best bet is to start with a firming, plumping serum. Just make sure it’s a serum (not a cream) as they contain the active ingredients which will firm & hydrate! Then make sure you use powder to set, this will reduce the look of the bags because you’re taking away the reflection of the hollow. I’m actually in the process of testing out about 15 drugstore concealers 🙈 I’m hoping the video will be complete in a couple of weeks, so that might be helpful when choosing a new concealer?
