EYE BAGS. MALAR BAGS. FESTOONS. AND HOW TO COVER THEM UP INSTANTLY!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Eye bags, malar bags or / and festoons. Nasty things. They can make you look tired and older. I have them. I'm not a fan. However with a concealer you can make them look A LOT BETTER and sometimes totally disappear when applied directly to the bag the shadow creates!

So, hi everyone! I just wanted to share a fact. We are all at minimum, 50% better looking than we think. Why is this? It's because when we look in the mirror, all we see is our physicality, and especially any imperfections or annoying changes that come with age, hormones, etc. But when other people interact with us, they see a combination of our humor, intelligence, compassion, spirit and looks. You are beautiful, waay more beautiful than you think. Happy new year!!! ❤️

I have the roller stones in my fridge that I pull out and use. I literally cannot live without a good under eye GEL patch (ones that actually adhere, aren’t overly saturated and not paper towels etc). And I have my phone set for making a good sleep schedule. If I miss one of these, I can tell. I have had people tell me to get a little filler under my eyes as we loose skin density over time. I just haven’t trusted anyone yet to do fillers. And if I did, less is more would be the rule.

I did find this video very helpful, but for more than one reason. I am 49 and definitely struggling with hollows under the eyes. I don't want to mess with fillers either. This video made me feel so much better about my own issues. While some of it is because I now have a technique to try, a lot of it is because of you yourself, Wayne. You have so often repeated the mantra of embracing aging as part of life, and the gift we have of still being here when so many are not. That really stuck with me. I also realized that while you are really bothered by this it is certainly not as noticeable to others as it to you. That is also reassuring - since I feel like you look amazing, so maybe my own eye bags are not the first thing people notice about me. Thank you for continuing to be honest and vulnerable in a relatable way, and for not hiding behind filters,

I can not thank you enough!!!! You have literally changed the way I feel about my face!!! This video and the one on only applying the concealer at the inside corners (to stop creasing) have been the most helpful makeup advice I've ever received. I have had what I thought were "dark circles" under my eyes since my early teens, and I always slathered the lightest concealer I could find all over my under eye area and couldn't figure out why it never made any difference. And as I got older, the creasing and and settling got worse and worse and I just felt helpless. But it makes so much sense that if you are covering the whole area in the same color concealer, everything is going to maintain the same level of difference in uneven-ness. I paused this video and immediately went to try this and I almost cried at the immediate difference I saw in my face. Thank you so so so much for making this information accessible and understandable. You are a blessing!

A couple of tips from someone who had a serious undereye filler mishap. First, a bit of gentle lymphatic massage helps depuff in the morning & second, Silc Skin silicone eye patches (I prefer this brand to SIO). I use these patches every morning, as soon as I get up. They act as a sort of "compression garment" for the puffiness under the eye. Leave them on for as long as you can & you will be amazed at the improvement. Overall my skin looks pretty good for my 50+ age, BUT for these damn bags that make me look tired. I work shifts and also had sleep problems often living on 3 to 4 hours sleep a day/night, so after many years I started to get dreadful eyebags. I read that if you raise your bedhead by 6 to 8 inches in time they would slowly go, so I found a few thick paper back books and gave it a try and they did!!! Sleep problems are sorted out too I read about weighted blankets so bought quite a heavy one, which felt kind of odd but I almost instantly felt myself decompress and have slept much better and for longer ever since.

I have never before commented on a video, but really want to thank you for sharing this Wayne, your honesty is so refreshing and I feel your pain! This subject doesn't seem to be commonly dealt with in tutorials as there really is no quick fix. I have taken care of my skin for as long as I can remember and at 59 barely have a wrinkle, however the onset of these dreadful malar bags has really knocked my confidence and totally agree with what you say about swapping them for wrinkles! I find mine are worse if I don't drink enough water, but that aside there doesn't seem to be much else that has a lessening effect. Thanks again, it's been very helpful to see how you deal with the problem.

Eye bags are quite different than dark circles. Eye bags are impossible to fully conceal since they are loose fat pads that will continue to fall with age. Filler doesn’t work for all face types and may move with time, leading to worsening appearance. The only true way to deal with this is surgery. Thank you for the vid, this is really helpful!

Hi Wayne! I have festoons too, and my youngest has had them since around age six. They are not related to gravity as some stated, but a collection of fluid. Some people have good results with lasers in this area. I have had the best results with a great sleep schedule and eating a healthy, organic diet that isn't inflammatory- for instance, my festoons are always prominent after I drink or eat sushi.

He is extremely skilled in general, a sculptor. But I agree, many people will never be skilled enough to fill this area perfectly. There’s an extremely skilled ocular PS in NYC, Dr Amiya Prasad. He has even come up with a technique for bleph under the eye WITHOUT any incision. You can be awake, or twighlight sedation. Another amazing sculptor and artist. These people are genius level. Also Dr Anil Rajani in Portland is very big on latest eye rejuvenation. Plasma eyes looks amazing. You can consult with these people online and I’m sure they could help. They’re into and even developing some of the latest techniques.

I’m also 53 and I was born with those eyes. Very puffy lower lids and hollows underneath them have always made my face odd. As a thin child, my face looked very fat. In my 20s, I’d frequently get told I looked like Susan Sarandon. She’s a gorgeous woman, but also 25 years older than us. When you’re not even 30, it’s not great getting told you lol 50. I had no wrinkles, just these eyes. I have had some success with threads and use them if I have a wedding coming up. They’re not a permanent fix, but they have an instant improvement as well as the longer lasting effects of collagen boost under the skin. There is a minimal pinching feeling as the needle pierced the skin (usual after lidocaine cream or injection, I use cream because what’s the point of looking to numb the pinch of poking 🤷🏻‍♀️). The procedure is in office and very quick. I no longer do it regularly because I only leave the house about 4-5 times a year, unless it’s to the hospital. I’d seriously look into it at med-spas or plastic surgeon’s. The nurse practitioner can perform the service. There’s no need for a surgeon.

@@boops1192 Susan Sarandon had those eyes even as a very young woman and was considered very attractive, so you are in quite good company.

I’m also 53, with deep hollows and blu-ish purple circles. I wake up puffy and often use a jade roller to smooth out the under eye bags, which helps but deepens the color of the circles. Hydration of the skin and color correcting + concealer helps somewhat but I’ll be honest, I’ve given up on making them truly disappear. On a positive note, I’ve never heard the dark hollows called “festoons” and now I feel like here is a bit of a party on my face 😊.

Thank you for taking the time to show us this. I see even very young people who have these.
