Oh yeah! I like this shorter style. Sometimes, I just want to know how to do one specific thing which is great if it can be condensed into a bitesize chunk. I like the live streams but can't always participate but tend to watch them back later though not always soon after they're originally broadcast.

I love these types of tutorials! They come in handy for me since I’m constantly trying to learn. If you get the 100 likes, I’d really love to see your more recent skin tone turned into a tutorial. The one with the moon-like pale skin. I second the idea of shorter, more direct skin tutorials. I don’t know about the rest of the viewing community, but anything under 30 minutes, I consider short. Plus, you are AMAZING with skin coloring, so I’d love you to share whatever aspects of this subject you’d like! 😘

Allison Bonk Definitely! 30 minutes it totally a shorter video in my opinion. I don’t think one could do a proper skin tutorial in a much shorter time period. Laura definitely has the skin down to a tee!

@@alli_went_bonkers awesome Allison, I think I could do a mix of timelapse and real time in under 30 minutes, but most portraits take me at least 8 hours to do! I'll think more about how to accomplish a shorter skin tutorial ❤

Well they're different. Editing does take a long time, but it can be done in bits at my leisure and I can schedule edited videos ahead of time. Editing is also less stressful for a stage fright prone person like me. There's benefits to livestreams I miss though, mostly the interaction with friends. Editing down livestreams that are popular seems like a nice blend; many do seem to prefer the short tutorials, but the livestreams also seem like an essential part of my channel for many in the community. I hope that as time goes on and I build stuff I can reuse (like the credits for example), my editing process becomes quicker and more streamlined. But that's why I qualified it with seeing if we get 100 likes, that's a nice way to be sure I'm not wasting time!

This was a nice tutorial and it gets the point across. If that's what the viewer wants. I, however prefer the longer more leisurely pace. I notice people are responding to your voice. Its relaxing and gets almost to a meditative tone. I enjoy your voice as it relaxes me and I almost always learn something new at each Live Stream. I prefer the Live Stream but won't leave if you go with short videos.

Please don't worry Diane, I'll still be doing livestreams every Tuesday, and I won't be deleting the livestream that this was edited from! If you prefer the longer format it's not going anywhere. But I have gotten comments where people dislike the "Chit-chat" as they call it - and so I thought I would try editing down something we've already done live to see what that process looks like for me.
