It's so great of you guys to share how to do the epoxy stuff! I build custom wood products and decided to try to make some cornhole boards with the American flag idea you do on the doors. I am pretty pleased with the results so far but have a couple questions. What is the max percentage of paint:epoxy that can be mixed? Do you guys sell the 1-1/2" star templates? And finally why the urethane top coat? 1part? 2part? or 3part? And is it more durable/scratch resistant than the epoxy? Thanks again for the great educational videos!!! I'll make sure to tell my customers about your countertop products to hopefully return the favor...:)

I have made several epoxy cornhole. They come out amazing. But don’t dam up the sides. Let the epoxy flow over the sides. That way you don’t have to sand or worry about sharp edges. You also have color on the edges. Nice smooth surface and the bars will not get caught on the edge.

any chance you guys can look into cornhole kitswith leggari products? I know you sell the 3qt epoxy size but the primer and color amounts needed for the job and the amount you need to buy in your store is way more than needed. doesnt make it economical to spend that much.

Looks really good. Is it possible or have you ever tried to make the marble a 3D effect by putting the base colour first. Then give it 2 or 3 coats of clear urethane. Then the other colours on top. Then the final 1 or 2 coats of urethane? It’s just a thought. Because they do something like that in 3D photos.

So polyurethane goes on top of resin? What kind of polyurethane would you suggest?

  • @kierstongokey8394

I looked on your website for the poly you used on these boards, and I'm having no luck. So what poly would you suggest I could use because the water based polycrilic I got was trash and pretty much ruined the tops of our boards that we worked so hard on.

Why would you use an inferior product over a superior one. Epoxy is way more durable than poly and it doesn't yellow. The failure rate with decals and yellowing made me seek out auto clear coat as a top coat. The problem with top coating with epoxy is that it doesn't allow the bags to slide well unless you use some serious sandpaper (3000+ grit) and elbow grease. I've made a lot of Cornhole boards and poly fails way before epoxy will. Auro clear should be used instead of poly. The only problem is you must spray it instead of rolling/ brushing it.

what would be great is instead of the music you actually explained the process you are using and the techniques & tips in using the product. Since you are doing cornhole vids would be awesome if your website actually addressed the issue under a cornhole section perhaps? with products related to finishing cornhole boards.

@@LeggariProducts What is the Leggari product cost to do a set of boards using say a 3 color dirty poor? If you're gonna do one would you humor me and do one in my college colors? They'd work really well on some boards...Garnet and Gold is the combo. A Black base or some silver in it would create some interest. And then you could add a team decal on it. You'll have to mssg me for the college. I'm thinking you'll figure it out though. Fun!

The video is good, but EVERY person on this thread is asking you specific questions regarding what polyurethane to use and you have NEVER answered any of them. Most of your comments are just mostly responded after someone has a positive comment regarding your video. So not right. If you’re making an educational video, it would be nice if you can actually answer this question and all the others that people are asking. You do comment but you’re very selective
