Hi Andrew, welcome to my channel and thanks for subscribing.

Another great video explaining how to clean your shower trap and waste. This really is an essential routine job to keep your water flowing smoothly and your shower tray empty. If you do won’t to clean the pipe run after you can pour some of the foaming drain cleaner available from most stores down the pipe and flush an hour later with hot water. Thanks for a great video tutorial.

Have put it up now john.

I used a pump on my bath and ended up with a few leaks and resulting water stains on the kitchen ceiling and now I use industrial drain cleaner.

Your vids are always so helpful. Thank you. With the pressure shooter- is there any risk of bursting / breaking a pipe join?

Hi Al. Happy new year to you all. Having just watched some of your videos, if you can point me in the right direction, that would be just great. The pump no longer switches itself off after the using my shower, so I am turning it on and off manually. Any ideas? David.

The flow switch is gone I am afraid. It is turning on but not switching off.

Hi Al good advice . Could you answer a question have you ever fitted a salamander pump to a Triton T80z electric shower due to low pressure fitted in a bungalow

Hey @dereton33 the link to the air pressure gun doesn't take me to anything. Can you tell me what I should be looking for? I have exactly same drain as this one and it gurgles all the time despite the fact that I clean it out every month.

You must explain to Mo that she mustn't use the shower without supervision because her eyebrows keeps falling out and blocking the plughole -- the promise of a marrow-filled bone or the threat of abandonment will be all that's needed; she will even supply her own soap after that!

Hi Al, the cover that you unscrewed at the start of the video and that pot you pulled out from the trap is missing from our step-free trayless wetroom (council bodge job) the waste pipe is vertically to the side. Could I get the parts from eBay?

You would have to buy the complete trap in order to get the basket part, I don`t think you can get that separate as a part. Do check Amazon and E bay though.

Yes that is the one, just measure the width across the hole they are usually 90 mm.

@@dereton33 is fitting it quite straightforward? I've only realised these parts are missing because we're getting slugs entering through the drain pipe and have the dreaded sewer gas smell. Plus when it rains you can hear the vibrations through the pipe. The wetroom was fitted by the council for my disabled mother and it seems like they were a bunch of cowboys.

Try some WD 40.

Sometimes gloves just feel clumsy and not wearing them makes jobs like this feel easier. Don't forget to wash your hands.
