I have watched other videos as well but enjoyed your very much. Thank you for taking the time to actually make a really good, clean well put together video for all of us to see.

Our Golden Doodle is in the river that we live on twice a day as we throw a plastic toy way out. She could chase it all day long, but this means she has constant water in her ears. Wondering how to rid her ears of this water. Perhaps just wiping out her ears after each time in the water.

Just wondering why the tattoo in his ear? Seems unnecessary since she stated, he is already microchip.

According to my vet, dogs are MORE likely to get an infection if you use a cleaner or remove hair. The hair (like in human ears) moves wax and wax protects ear. It comes out on its own. I do wipe with cloth and finger after bathing, but that's it. Never had an ear infection.

Vet opinions differ on this topic. Max (my Sheepadoodle) got an ear infection (when his ears were left untouched). My vet recommended to start plucking & cleaning. Since then he hasn't had any ear infections. *Bacteria likes to grow in dark moist areas. By removing ear hair, it allows more airflow into the ear canal to help keep things nice dry. But if no plucking is working for you without any ear infections, all good :)

If I did what you recommend, my 11 yo F1 labradoodle would be in constant misery. She gets infections frequently, and her ears start to smell bad, she constantly is rubbing them with her paws, etc. Only when she needs it do I get an aloe vera baby wipe and stick my finger way down in there very very gently mind you and twist it and turn it and wipe the inner ear down and clean it out. Lots of nasty infected gunk comes out. She loves this and her relief is obvious. I follow up with Animax ointment. She gives me a kiss in gratitude. Her ears are almost completely clear by the following day and no more stinky infection. This is what works and has worked for my doodle, her ears will certainly not clean themselves (ludicrous), I've tried the 'leave it alone' logic and that just doesn't work. Got to be proactive, 'let it be' is a fantasy-based methodology.

So many cleaning dog vids and a lot of them pluck the hairs, most of the vids had disabled comments I mean like only one of the women looked like she was really hurting that poor dog...she has sissors and was plucking the hairs like aggressively and shoving the sissors in the dogs ears with cleaner on a cotton ball at the end and was like scraping it around aggressively and shoving it deep in the dogs ear it was horrible she was like rushing really fast for some reason and not being careful or gentle and the poor dog was shaking and his ear was so red and swollen and it just made me want to cry so people be careful whoever u let clean and pluck your dogs ears

Elizabeth Haze I think the ear was so red because the dog already had an ear infection. And it hurt the dog so much, because pulling out ear hair hurts every time, plus: the hair was matted. Every dog deals different with pain, and this one was shaking- that’s how it came across for me. :)

L H oh I’m aware this is not a painless process, that doesn’t disregard her obvious miss treatment of that dog during that delicate and painful procedure, it was beyond the dog looking like it was in pain, she used excessive force and aggression with no consideration to the poor dog, not only this but she rushed through it harshly yanking, pulling, and shoving-scissors deep into its ears, it is horrifying even in comparison to lo other videos on this process where the people actually look like are trying to help the dog and are considerate to the dogs discomfort and the risk of damaging the dogs ears when pulling out infected hair. and not just scraping sharp tools around cruelly and quickly to hurry up and get it over with. So disturbing no my how many times I watch it to convince myself it’s normal or not s bad as it looks. That was downright abuse.

So anyone who encounters the dog knows it's desexed. It's just a way to label the dog. If you feel this way about the tiny tattoo, you better feel the same way about chipping.
