Can't believe I found this video, especially since these are the exact model S-Works I own. I actually looked this up after cleaning my shoes today, and as it happens, I also used a magic eraser just because saw it 😅 🙃 in the bathroom while dusting the bottoms. I hadn't cleaned them in months....since before snow season whe. I stopped riding for a while. I would have cleaned them sooner, but had misplaced them for a few winter months.

For the SW7 and Ares I use a combo of magic eraser and shout spray. With some wet wipes and gets them pretty clean.

Did you also manage to get the sock part of the Ares clean? After one muddy ride and cleaning them right after, the sock has turned fully brown and I can't get it clean :(

@@Clashing0N unfortunately I was not able to. Looks like the dirt and stain is permanent on the sock tongue part.
I do not use anything that will abrade or scratch the surface layer (e.g. paste, sponge with an abrasive layer). Whether it is natural leather or synthetic material, it is damaged and dirt enters the micro-scratches and then causes the damaged elements to turn yellow. I can recommend Meglio or MucOff (universal degreaser) or intimate hygiene liquid due to its low pH and soft sponge. This liquid is also perfect for washing white bar tape.
Mine clean up fine but the plastic parts are slowly turning yellow, not sure whether this is common!
Did you manage to find out how you can get the “plastic” pieces white again?
I can't stress how important it is to clean the shoes immediately after riding especially grass marks. Try using a Festool 120 Grit Sanding Block to remove the burn mark. The plastic can discolour (go yellow) overtime - I don't think this can be reversed.
I use Muc Off drivetrain cleaner.
