That's a french recipice, so if your wifey don't like butter you can put some fresh cream instead of butter, it's also better well. And don't forget the french Alsace white wine for cooking. ;)

I have been wanting to make this but have seen intimidated. U make it look so easy. Can I use reg white wine or does it have to be cooking wine
@rackoflam

I typically use cooking wine since it is cheaper 😂 but you can use Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, the dryer ones.
A family friend brings us mussels and fish every time he goes freediving, they come with so much stuff stuck to their shells, I usually take about 3 hours to clean around 3 kg, but they're so tasty 😂

Poor mussels! I have seen barnacles stuck on turtle shells and it’s horrible! Very great drawing by the way!
@MoonshineSunset

@@rackoflam I knoow! Mussels at least have their grip on rocks and don't move much, but turtles, they really have the bad end, when there's too many barnacles they can't swim and most times die from starvation ; ;) such a slow and painful death. And thank you very much, I'm still new to digital drawing, but practicing everyday 🤗
what about the mushy poop like texture in them??? is it safe to eat them with that or should you squeeze it out after they cook. I noticed inside some cooked was i got from the restaurant.

Can you clean them first and then put them back into the fridge until you're ready to use them?
@rackoflam
Жыл бұрын
I have refrigerated them for a day before cooking them so I think it’s fine. Just make sure not to refrigerate them while submerged in water or they’d die

@@rackoflam Since I don't always have white wine handy to use in cooking, I keep a bottle of dry white vermouth which lasts forever. It's not the same thing but works for me. By the way, it looks like cilantro, not parsley on the photo!
👍👍👍
What if the floating mussels just have some air trapped inside? It happens
I thought you HAD to mix Sea Salt in the water to purge them?
Great vid new sub incoming!

Wait why are the barnacle are not being removed? They are not part of the mussel 🥲
Euuu.. I can see white barnacles spots on the mussels. You clean the shell using small knife not brush.
Also a first timer, I never knew mussels were cooked alive 😭😭😭I know they’ll taste delicious but it’s a bit intense
So keep the barnacles... on the muscles.. 😂😂😂😂
It’s a coriander but not parsley

Mussels farms place mussels seeds on ropes. The mussel beard is from ropes they use in mussel farm. it is not part of the mussels and they did not use it to anchor themselves 🤦♀️
