How to Clean Heat Management Device

Ойын-сауық

The era of a foil is long gone and more and more lounges and enthusiasts use heat management devices. It could be the original brand or knock-off, but best believe us, it would make your life easier. These devices allow you to control temperature, transfer the flavor by managing the temperature in the bowl. Essentially, this is an essential tool for all hookah lovers. WINK
Of course, these devices have their limits too. Knock off devices would become darker and melt over time. But in general, these devices last for 3 years. We should mention that the original product with proper maintenance can last for decades. We still have to see that but predictions are promising.
We’ve checked manufacture website to see how do they offer to keep the heat management clean. What they offer is: when heat management cooled down put it under hot water for couple of hours and then, use regular dish sponge to wipe off sticked tobacco. This method is good when heat management unit is brand new. Eventually, with time more tobacco is going to to get stick to it and it’ll be harder to remove it from the device with basic dish sponge. We got 2 methods to use, put your heat management unit into container and add regular dish soap. leave it for 30 mins, and then scrape off tobacco easily with metal brush. Second method is the same as the first one, but instead of dish soap add baking soda with concentrated lemon juice. Leave it for 1 hour or more and then scrape off tobacco.
Don’t try any other chemicals to clean your heat management unit, it will mess it up (we’ve tried it before).
Also use this technics at your own risk, this is our experience.

    Just purchased a heat management and this seems like immense headache to clean for a every day smoker. I think I may stick to putting coals direct on foil to save me from the effort and use the heat management on occasions.

    If you like Vortex bowls pick up a firefly bowl the thing wipes clean every time. you don't got to worry with Char or anything and you can use a heat management with it as well or tinfoil.

    Why dont you guys heat hmd on the stove for 30 seconds. I've been doing it for years same lotus never melted one and it helps to start smoking faster and stops coals from blacking out because of the cold lotus

  • @mojohookahlounge

    @mojohookahlounge

    We actually do pre-heating it 😉 but here we talking about when you clean it, the wet metal transfer heat twice faster and it can melt down your hmd in one blink.

    Please dont use baking soda and lemon juice together. They basically negates each other's effect. You can clean something with high PH level or low PH level. Lemon juice and baking soda has opposite PH, so if you mix it you end up with normal PH. Use one or another but dont mix it, you wont have the best effect, Cheers!
