    @melfinaw has a great response to this. But yes, try blowing it out onto a paper towel, if there's rust, throw it out! We also suggest getting a washable hose, it's just easier.

    ph of lemon juice is 2-3 and ph of baking soda is 8.3 ph of coke and other sodas is 2.5-2.8 if you mix them, you're making both agents less effective. the acid in my experience really cleans well. so i would recommend cleaning with acid and a long flexible scrubber. then after rinsing, clean with baking soda and a bit of water, and scrub - the baking soda is an abrasive agent.

    really a great video I am Arabic and must say 90% of the videos out there are wrong but this one is just is perfect but if you have the head made of pottery you can boil it so you can use new flavor but if you are not using new flavor you shouldn't clean the head or the water every day because it makes the flavor stronger

    It depends on how well you let your hose dry after you did that. As a safety check for my own hoses, as I'm assembling my hooka, I blow my hoses and have a paper towel held taut on the other end. If I see rust blow out, then this is the last time I'm smoking out of that hose and it's time to order a new replacement. Even if you didn't get your hose wet, hooka smoke is still wet from the water vapor and can cause rusting as well. So always dry everything completely, every time. Happy smoking!

    Ok great video. But what about the smoke transfer section? That is the bell shaped part on the stem that the hose and ball bearing fits into. I find that I am getting a terrible smell out of that and it is giving my hookah a nasty liquorice flavour. My hookah is a lot smaller than the one you demonstrated in the video. p.s. I haven't smoked liquorice in my hookah at all because I hate the flavour do I don't know where this taste is coming from.

    Honestly, the only true way to know is by looking at the information when you order it. On some hoses, it's impossible to tell since the internal metal coil isn't visible. If you're not sure, just be safe and don't get them wet.

    Those may just be water calcium deposits. If you scrub, and they still don't come off, I don't think it's any sort of algae or moss. Probably just hard water deposits. Perhaps you should try using filtered or water in your base, and make sure to allow your pieces to dry thoroughly before you put them away.

    buddy i have the same problem - its non toxic and its just calcium deposits that interacts with the brass of copper your stem and down stem is made out of. best solution is wash after each use and before session while your coals are heating and your bowl has been prepared with your favourite delicious shish flavour :D Smoke Love Peace

    Just FYI if anybody's got a hookahs that they have it cleaned in a while I would suggest using denture cleaner in your glass basin and kills 99% of all bacteria so it can also be used as different disinfectant spray in case this work is any crazier and drop a couple of denture tablets in my hookah feel it completely to the top with cold water. I will usually leave mine overnight but a couple hours is fine for really bad hookahs otherwise half hour should do it I'm not sure what this will do to metal I wouldn't suggest it but your hookah will come out sparkling like brand new it leaves no residual taste or flavor behind and it's just great no scrubbing no fuss

  • @hookahANDshisha

    @hookahANDshisha

    5 жыл бұрын

    One of the reasons we use lemon juice to clean hookahs is that it's just acidic enough to help clean things out more than water alone, but doesn't leave an intense flavor. Vinegar will probably leave a very strong flavor in your hookah, and we wouldn't recommend using it in your hookah, but great question!
