nina derosa super late responding but I have this same issue and what works for me is after rinsing most of the soap out (when it’s mostly gone but you’re still getting those suds when you squeeze really hard) I submerge it in clean water in a bowl and squeeze a few times :) works every time for me!

I’ve never used a beauty blender before and therefor don’t know a lot about them, I tried this technique and it worked quite well, but is it supposed to expand? I feel like the beauty blender almost doubled in size... will it shrink again or did I just buy a cheap one?

The technique I use is to put hot water in a container (deep enough that the sponges can fit) and dilute it with liquid soap. Soak the sponges in the container and wait for 20minutes. After that, I squeeze it under the tapping water until I feel like all the makeup's gone. Really effective and cheaper! Actually saves more water than the soap technique. If you have a microwave oven, you can put the container there too instead of boiling the water.

I dont rub mine at all cause it can cause rips tears and like the surface to come off. I let my beauty blenders fill up with water several times like you till it gets big, then I think I put micellar facewash by garnier (so face safe and dissolved makeup woo) directly on the sponge and let it soak in in several places, then run it under warm water and squeeze out and run under and squeeze til it runs clear and preferably not bubbly and I've got all the dirt off, i reapply the facewash if it doesnt get it all off the first time and rinse it again, squeeze out and leave to dry on my windowsill

You should definitely clean your sponge after every time you use it. If not, you are just putting dirt and bacteria back on your face. One of the reason some people may get breakouts. Replace it every few months. Just depends on how often you use it and if it has tears or not.

That is a great idea, but at this time and most likely for awhile, we don't even really need to use the beauty blender or any foundation! Why you ask? Because, we need and should wear a mask!!! I guess we would need to apply foundation "if" we are going to be with a "special" person or people that we absolutely know do not have the virus! So, this tutorial is a good idea for those times, but if we are just going out in public, like to the store or somewhere where we are just going to come back home and not taking off our mask, then no, we shouldn't even feel the need to wear any foundation. What we need to focus on as far as make-up is concerned at this trying time is our "eyes" Like they say, "they are the windows to the soul" It is really a time for mascara and shadow! If you aren't a eye shadow person, you must wear mascara! The blackest black mascara out there. The most voluminous mascara you can find! Hopfully we will all be using our beauty blenders sooner than later. But who want to get their foundation all over their masks!
