How to Clean a Clogged Shower Head
In this video we go over how to clean a shower head with a lot of mineral build up. We use simple household items like vinegar, a toothpick and a screwdriver.
The build up is due to minerals in our water. Even with a water filtration system, we get a lot of minerals in our water which leads to a heavy mineral buildup on our plumbing fixtures.

Might I recommend 30% vinegar. Be careful with it though!
leave it in the vinegar over night and you shouldn't have to scrape anything off just take a toothbrush and scrub it with a toothbrush

What brand of shower head is that? In love things i can actually take apart and that thing looks easy to mess with.

I’m not sure, I couldn’t find any markings on it. It was there when we bought the house. Definitely makes for easier cleaning.
I'm assuming you are using a well. A water softener would probably serve you well. Nice video by the way.

We are on a well and have a water softener, we get mineral buildup, I’ve been told that we would need a whole house reverse osmosis system to get rid of the mineral buildup.

I have no idea. It was in the house when I bought it. It is great as its easy to assemble and disassemble for unclogging.
You need to let it sit overnight, And u think Vikel spray would be best! Then scrub with a brush like a toothbrush 🪥

Yeah, its tough. Our water is terrible. We treat it with a pretty intense system but still get that white mineral build up. We do our best.
Yuck 🤮, I would just move away if that kept happening

its an issue with my water. We get mineral build up and a whole reverse osmosis system is crazy expensive :(
