Omg! Thanks so much Dr. I have very high arches and not a lot of natural foot pad cushions. I borrowed my niece’s flats and walked around nyc for about 7 miles 😢😢😢😢. 4 months later I’m still in pain and burning sensation at the bottom of the balls of my foot. I am more comfortable in heels providing the arch matches mine. I bought the little gel thing that on a band that I put on. It helps a bit but I wish it was better

If you’re lucky enough to find an OTC insole that fits, the next problem is that they wear out way-too rapidly. At $40-50 a pop, amortize the price of customs vs $40 twice a year ad nauseam. It’s like the old FRAM Oil Filter TV commercials: “you can pay us now or pay us later”. Customs are more effective & cost efficient.

Used to suffer from plantar fasciitis .leg exercises and wearing padded slippers or shoes inside the house and thicker insole outside. I wear cotton socks or wash my toes with alcohol then wear thin socks. I m happy now with my remedies.

Sorry but I have to disagree, I’ve bought walking and running shoes at Sport Check numerous times. My shoes range from 160.00 to 225.00 , so quality shoe I know about which is totally different from the insole and a Orthotics.
