Nice one Steve, I have always shied away from the speed stems because I struggle to move the bead to attach the hook link, I didn't think about it giving free movement compared to the normal stem, could this contribute to get more foul hookers than normal?

Having a problem with the white elastic. Monday fishing for bream, nothing above 4 lb., I had three elastic breakages just above the speedbead. Two on the long and one short. What sort of lifespan would you expect from the elastic?

Stev Murray thread your baiting needle through the eye and it comes out easily

Seems like Guru may have a problem or mine is just a bad batch. I tested the rest of my feeders and found two more faulty, the white elastic has rotted where they are knotted to the line connector. All my blacks are ok. Anybody else having problems?

John Carter , had this problem 2 weeks ago resulting in 2 lost fish, both with the white elastic.

Anyone else had the problem of the hook length coming off of the speed stem with the hook at the bottom? Due to this I use the stems with the rings.

Yes same thing happens to me, a lot, despite really ensuring the cover is well over the link.I think the plastic bead that covers the link is to stiff and must move

yeah, have to really push it closed, almost to a point where the knot sticks out the other side. they are a bit awkward

Your right but have done that and still loose hooklengths. I now slip a micro float rubber over the clip to make sure it stays there.

... that exchangeable it's a piece of garbage, 4 had rotten elastic and I find out breaking the 5 th one. First believed that somebody lost a pair of snipers and the fishing find it and free himself, but looks like Guru it's using bad materials.
