can a blue tip on a rac x guard work on a graco magnum x5 machine? Because when I tried using the blue tip it sprays poorly compared to my rac IV guard and tip

Really depends personal preference 4 13 513 if in tight areas 515 if your full fledged spraying, remember one thing tho it's stain! If you spray inconsistent it will show!! I'd chose a all area to start and bring the wood to desired stain then stick to that consistency

For the TrueCoat 360 models are 2 tips available; a wide spray pattern (30.5 cm) and a narrow spray pattern (12.7 cm).

The yellow LL5 tips are mostly used for striping. The give crispy lines

The paint you buy usually has its recommendations in the instructions/on the bucket. For latex paints, it's usually .15 -.21. The fan size, I would go with an 8-10 inch for the walls. So, something like a 515 spray tip.

So, here's where this get's confusing on a very fundamental level... I purchased the ProX17. It came with an orange tip protector, leading me to believe, that's the only kind of tip(s) the ProX17 can use. This video explains what the tips themselves are used for....which was very helpful. It does NOT explain what machines they can be used with, which I find absolutely mind-boggling, given the details of operating these sprayers are *extremely* important, or you'll have a epic mess on your hands. And, the manual that is given with these are borderline useless, and that's being nice about it. The sprayer itself seems to be of a good quality (time will tell). *So, here's the question: Can I purchase a lower pressure (blue) tip guard, or any other color tip guard/tip for that matter, and use it in place of the orange tip guard/tip???* When painting indoors and trying to control the overspray, I found that I had to use an excessive amount of spray force to get rid of the "border" stripes on sray-fan. I'm assuming that meant I should get the appropriate tip guard/tip for low-pressure spraying. I just need to know if the low pressure tip-guard/tips will fit, and work with the ProX17. That should've been the first piece of info mentioned in this video. "What models accept which accessories". Or, the customer runs the risk of buying an expensive tip guard/tip, only to learn it won't fit their machine. I'm hoping the answer it all the tips will fit, as long as you have the appropriate tip-guard.

The answer is no. The tips from home depot are compatible with the orange tip guard. For the low pressure you have 2 buy the blue tip guard and green tip from sherwin williams. You wouldn't even be able 2 fit a low pressure tip in a orange guard. They are made differently. Good side is when you purchase the new tip guard and tip you can run it from your machine without incident

Depending on the size of the motor and capabilities of the machine, certain tips are adequate based on the machines capabilities

Mineaswell just go with a 721 tip on a g15 air assited sprayor g40 airless air assited I dont know why I dont see painters using these systems
