    Excellent video for several reasons. Never knew about the heated system! I have a question about technique. I back rolled my spraying on an exterior recently- it was great for getting product to stretch and into the crevices but I noticed the finish was different from just the areas I only sprayed. It was my first time using the back roll technique and I didn't use it uniformly on every surface I sprayed. What's the easiest way to do a touch up to make the finishes match , so the textured areas where I rolled and the areas I only sprayed, don't appear so delineated?

    Hi Don, thank you for watching and thank you for your question. As a general rule, painters are choosing to either spray the entire surface, or spray and roll the entire surface to avoid the possibility of the surface looking delineated. If you want a textured finish, then spray and roll the entire area. If you want a smooth finish, the wall surface must be smoothed and sprayed only. Unfortunately, neither of these are "touch up" jobs, you will need more time. If you were indeed using the roller to "stretch the product and get into crevices", its possible an alternate spraying pressure and spray tip might have got the job done without the need to back-roll. With good technique, spraying pressure and tip size, you may not need to back-roll. We wish you a good day and hope things turn out well!

    @@AirlessDiscounterInternational Thanks! I decided to back roll the areas where the texture isn't uniform. I saw on a few youtube videos that backrolling is good for wood with deep grooves. Keep on going with your channel!

    Hi, thank you for your question. How long have you been working with the machine? Is the tip new and clean? Check the material as well, what size is required for your paint? Generally you'll find the info on the bucket or in the data sheet.

    What about thinning paint for a tip with a smaller hole? Pros and cons?

  • @AirlessDiscounterInternational

    @AirlessDiscounterInternational

    Hi, Thanks for your comment. It helps if the tip is too small for the paint to be sprayed. But the paint loses its covering power. In the end, buying the right tip cost less than having to spray again to get the right coverage. Kind regards, Airless Discounter team

    It works well in most cases but backrolling can be used as a technic to reduce overspray. You spray with very little pressure to get the paint on the wall and use the roller to distribute the paint evenly. Many painters like to backroll to get the structure from the roller. In that case they can use a roller to sort out damages and scratches caused afterwards. But again, you can create a great finish just by spraying. Stefan

    Airless Discounter thx for the explanation Stefan , I’m following most of your videos and I can say it’s very useful, since I’m really interested to buy a Graco mark v or x , so another question if you don’t mind , I can use the gigantic Graco mark x or v for painting also and not only plastering ?? Or do I have to use another one (ultra max ) for painting ? Because they only talk about plastering whenever they show video of Graco mark , thank you

    Hi Farid, the Graco Mark Series (V, VII or X) can be used for paint and plaster. These units are standard equipped with a plaster setting (hose, gun, tips). You should consider buying an extra hose, gun (tips, filters) when you like to spray paint. It will also save you money in the long run because the gun/hose for paint is cheaper than the plaster setting. Plus it will make your life much easier when you apply paint (weight of the hose, volume of paint in it, gun filter). You should have a proper talk with your dealer of choice to select of the right sprayer for your materials and project types/sizes. Stefan
