Think about how many things had to go right on the tying goal: Hughes takes Nyquist out of the play so it's 6 on 4, Pettersson doesn't blindly throw it into a crowd and gives it to Miller, who keeps his shot low for a deflection instead of going high and risking a complete miss, Zadorov blocks two players from the play. Boeser tracks the puck down and despite missing the first attempt, somehow pulls the puck into the net while stopping. Saros didn't have a good grip on the stick which meant he couldn't stop it, and Nyquist was late coming back into the play so he missed blocking it with his stick. An insane sequence of events

Great analysis. The pressure is now off Matthews for his empty net miss. I only saw the highlights so I missed the camera angle on the 'kick that's not a kick'. Was the goal even reviewed? Happy for the Canucks. Canada's cup hopes remain in the West.

@@nicholasvandervelden450 Actually it says more about World Championships. Basically it is a contest of which country can make a better roster from NHL losers while the best players are still busy sorting out that Stanley silverware thing.

His skate didn't leave the ice, but he definitely added speed to the puck with his push. The terms in this rule are puposefully left vague to give referrees and the reviewers in Toronto latitude to follow Bettman's directive that teams in US cities with larger fanbases than their Canadian counterparts be given in-game advantage wherever possible.

Gives me flashbacks of Preds vs Coyotes in 2020 Play-In round.....And that Sissons post shot? oh lord, gives me even more flashbacks and this time of 2017 when ref screwed him and the team in the finals. Preds are heartbroken right now. It hurts so bad!
