I don't think anyone played as hard as the Preds did against us. Sure some of the other series have their tough moments, but this series legit has been the tightest checking, no free ice, grind it out series that's been played in years. The shot totals for the series were low for a reason. Shot blocks through the roof and tight checks everywhere. The Preds were SUPER annooying to play against and that's to their credit. If we can bring the same level of defence against Edm, with a bit more offence, we'll have a good shot of replaying the season series outcomes. To be fair, Edm is firing on all cylinders - Hyman is an absolute beast wildcard aside from McD and Drais. Should be a good round 2 for hockey fans!

13 күн бұрын
@@Gam3rC4m That is correct because if the Canucks took that cross checking penalty with more time left on the clock near the end of the 3rd period and the Predators were able to get a goal to tie it up and force overtime it could've ended up being a costly one for them so yeah if the Canucks can't stay out of the penalty box vs the Oilers it could be fatal if they can't contain the McDraisaitl or the McHysaitl 3 headed monster!🫣

I don't think Canucks are that good to bring a Stanley cup home. If they beat Edmonton in this round then there will be no hope for the cup this year again. Canucks are missing a very important player, point shooter. Can't bring a cup home without that.
Hell of a series from Saros and the Preds. Way to fight.
Best commentary of any series.

Shorty is very well loved here in Vancouver.
These highlights made me see how the Canucks defensive system keeps teams to the outside. I don't know if any defensive system can work against the Oilers but it's going to be interesting to watch.

@@mathieulebrun5589Nashville doesn’t attack like the oilers do is what you mean. The only team that really does is the high octane avalanche. Now truth be told the Canucks defensive structure definitely forces opponents too the outside, relying on the goalie to make the perimeter shot saves, and the defense on clearing the puck. That seems to cause Edmonton too struggle, as unless they can beat the goalie clean they have to pick up rebounds and get too the front of the net. Vancouvers big defenders seem to neutralize that. It’ll be a tough and interesting series

For that, the Canucks have plenty of guns to fire back on McDavid, Draisaitl and the rest. Brock "The True Beast Incarnate" Boesser, Quinn Hughes, JT Miller, Petterson if he can get his groove back and he's showing signs of it last couple of games, Garland, Joshua, Hroenik, and our secret (or not so secret weapon... Saros was insane
This was such a big relief. Nashville is greedy af on their Defense. They really clogged up the shooting lanes and threw their bodies in front of the puck so many times. As a Canucks fan, it was frustrating not seeing so many shots even getting through. As for this game itself, what a hard fought win! Some good take away from this game was seeing Petey looking like he's tryin to get more into it, he didn't look like such a zombie in this game. Garland. The dude had some great hustle and put great pressure on the Preds. Silov looked amazingingly poised like a veteran in this game. Edmonton is going to be a different kind of beast, and I'm stoked for the coming series! Big props to Nashville, they definitely didn't make it easy, and almost every game could've gone either way. Both goalies made it hell for the players.
A series that easily have been the Predators to win, that was a battle to the end.
