No worries at all, just remember if you need to depressurise the system you will need to connect via LEXIA or contact a garage with access to it.

I would just add to the video, if you had missing fluid and topped up there might be some air pockets in the installation. To push out the air you should move your steeling left to right and right to left a 3-5 times, keeping it a short time (up to 2s) in each end position. While doing that the the steering should get smoother. If there was too much air in the system, you might want to repeat the procedure from the video, and top up again if needed. The fluid you should prefer to use is Total LDS, because it is the original. All the other LDS fluids are may be compatible to the specifications, but are not original. I have used Kroon Oil LDS also without any problem, but Total is the oil PSA/Citroen used in new vehicles.

I have the same facelifted C5, but the front suspension is making noise when I drive over some bumps and it is not as comfortable as everyone is saying in the reviews. What could be wrong? I bought it cheaply so I know it is not in best condition but I would like to know the issue. Already checked the fluid and it is not problem there

Hi Johannes, unfortunately that would be not be a simple fix, it sounds like there could be a blockage in the system, a garage would need to do a full decompression to be able to diagnose it. There is a possibility that a full decompression and reset could fix it but you would need the Lexia system to perform that. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Hi Marcus, so sorry for the delay. Usually the issues with over filling are more with the reservoir itself, however it sounds like you could be having pump issues, I have not seen it where it pops the fuse before. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I bought my 2007 C5 sedan in 2014 @90k kms. I had the brakes attended to along with other servicable items at the time. Yesterday I had the front brake rotors replaced along with new pads @180k kms, the rears were deemed ok. Whilst the car was on the hoist we had a look at the suspension rams and the boot was split on one and damp, the other boot was still holding and looked damp. The supension is working okay as far as I know but only an expert can tell its condition so I'm expecting a bleak report, the big question is do I trade it in on something less exotic and pay a few thou on top or pay a lesser amount to fix, knowing that it could cost more again when the front units call it a day. The car runs very well, not super smooth or quiet because of the diesel but the ride is superb. I studied the rear end with the car on the hoist and it's a marvel of engineering compared to the simplicity of the brand new Asian vehicle that just happened to come in with a rear flat puncture and it's cheese and chalk. I would love to update to a newer C5 but too few mechanics aound that understand them and parts are scarce etc and I'd end up in the same boat. It may mean going to the dark side for a Toyota, something I thought I would never do.

Hi Anthony, I am someone who likes change so I tend to change my vehicles every 1 to 2 years anyway, although I have had my 1969 beetle for 20 years haha. at 180k kms the C5 will start encountering some issues like the suspension and bushes etc. If the C5 is going to need its pneumatic system repaired or replace it will start getting pretty expensive. It of course depends on your budget but there are some great cars out there too.

@@RossPerryProductions Appreciate your reply and which is similar to my mechanic's advice. My first car was a Beetle and a lovely little car to drive and we had two more in the family but all long gone now. Affordable used Toyotas are scarce because everybody is hunting them so a Honda may have to do, regards Ross.

  • @RossPerryProductions

Hi Emanuel, I am surprised it is letting you get up to 90kmh if it is at its lowest. Unfortunately this does not sound like an issue that can be resolved without the Lexia system for full depressurisation. Have you checked everywhere for leaks? it could be the fluid is super low. If the car is on its lowest setting I would expect to see the fluid very high in the reservoir. Sorry I cannot be of more help. If you manage to get the issue resolved, could you please respond on here to hopefully help others out in the same situation. Ross
