How to change wheel bearing Toyota Echo

How to change wheel bearing Toyota Echo.
In this video our little Echo is back for a wheel bearing.
If you need to search for parts. Feel free to check out RockAuto.com I find they have a good variety of stock and pricing for auto parts. I have no affiliation with them. I occasionally order parts from them when I don't need them urgently.
Good luck with your repairs. Feel free to comment or ask questions and I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities.

Cheers.

Thanks for the great video, it helped me changing my bearing. Only request is to list bolt & nut torques if you happen to know them. But thanks again for the detailed, easy to follow video

There's an easier way to remove the race without cutting into the hub. Get a socket and extension and put the hub race down in a vice. Let the hub spin ontop of the socket. Grab a torch and heat the race while spinning the hub. It will simply slide off the hub and you wont need to clean the damaged grove.

They have to be able to come out one way or another.. they would need to be replaced if worn out..

I've worked on some really bad bearing before and the hubs and spindle were fine. You should definitely get the bearing replaced asap

Thanks for your pointless comment... .. .. cause the brake hose that withstands 3000psi of pressure can't support a 2lb caliper hanging there.

@@UncleTinman Although it makes sense initially, you might want to rethink that logic. You could talk to an engineer about internal pressure rating and compare it to sheer strength and tensile strength of the compression fittings and hoses. They are not the same in any way. Also dont forget about the fact that hoses and fittings get old and the rubber breaks down/ gets brittle. It is bad practice to hang a caliper off the hose no matter how many times you get away with it.
