How to change the rear brake pads on a Triumph Scrambler 1200
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Removing and replacing the rear brake pads on my Triumph Scrambler 1200XE. If you just want to check and/or change the pads this is a very quick and easy job.
I don't make any money off my videos as I have insufficient viewers to get more than a few pence of KZread advertising video. If you enjoyed this video and found it useful, please consider buying me a coffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/fromthes...

I was one of the folks that asked about the rear break procedure on the front brake video, therefore, I cannot thank you enough for this!
Thanks mate was going to remove the caliper like on my other bikes,so glad I watched your video, many thanks

Soon I'll be doing the same to my scram rear pads, thank you so much to show me how to do it!! Cheers from Portugal
Man, I took the rear wheel off to do mine. Wasting my own time! Thanks for showing us a somewhat easier way 😬
Nice one Simon 👍🏻 I’m glad you managed not to engaged your fingertips on that wire brush 😳

Good morning,Proffessori. A good job well done. It's nice that you clean the pin and the back of the pad before refitting them. I have had shop serviced bikes in the past where the pin is totally solid.
Thank you this is very helpful, btw how do I take those 2 rubber pins and lubricant them?

I'll make a video when I do the job.
Another beauty. Thanks. Question-how often do you tend to bleed your brake lines and fill up with fresh brake fluid?

On each bike according to the service schedule. That is typically every 2 years.

Good man. I see this procedure overlooked often. It’s coming time for myself to do it, just wondering because of the ABS if you used dealer tool to bleed or just did it the good ol way. Cheers in advance
These pads do appear to have good life left in them, but for the novice out there, you only include to the bottom of the 3 grooves, NOT the whole thickness of pad in that judgement call. Your drill press wire wheel is effective, I'd call it the hand ripper 5000. Hope you were wearing eye protection. Viewers should be cautioned to be careful NOT to remove the anti-corrosion coating on those pins or next time you'll be drifting them out. For the level of corrosion on these pins, I would have just used green scotch bright. The coating on those pins is much more important than aggressively removing ANY of it with the hand ripper 5000. While I admire ingenuity, the hand ripper 5000 should only be used in deepest darkest woods. If you live within 100 miles of civilization, get a real bench grinder. If you must do this, NO LONG SLEEVES, eye protection. If the wire wheel caught your sleeve, what would be left of your arm?
