How to Change the Front and Rear Brake Pads on a 2013 - 2019 Honda Accord LX

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a step-by-step on how I changed the brakes on my 2014 Honda Accord. Easy to follow, and a tools list in the beginning. If you have the tools, and the time, you can save a bundle by doing it yourself. This should be the same on 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 models.

I learned that before about the 3/8 rotate the piston and I forget about and wasted money on a tool, thanks for pointing that out and refreshing my memory, and saving others some money.

Good video bro, other video didn’t have brake line removal. I have experience on my first time trying to replace rear brakes that I can’t remove the caliper bec I don’t know that I need to take off the brake line first. Thank you for clear instruction.

Really good job explaining the steps. I appreciate you pointing out the hazards of working under a car with no jack stands. While you were out turning the rotors you should stop by Harbor Freight for some stands. Jack Stands, $20; Life and Limbs, priceless.

Though several reviewers talk about it, no one that I've seen has shown the drilling out of the brake rotor screws 11:21 . I've wondered what I ought to do if ever in this situation with a stuck rotor screw. The 3/8" ratchet head to turn the rear brake caliper piston is ingenious as well.

While you are out picking up another set of Jack stands, get some short bungee chords to hang those calipers while you work. Large zip ties also work. Copper based brake lube is helpful to help get the wheel off next time if you apply it to the face of the rotor where you bolt the wheel on.

Do you know, by the chance, if 2017 Accord Hybrid EXL procedure to replace front/rear rotors and brake pads is any different? Not sure if there are electronic brakes on this model. Thx
