I'm def going to do the same thing to my 2019. I wonder if this will help the view when using the backup camera? I loved my 2013 camera. It was super clear and easy to see. This one seems to be off...? Bluish tint to everything. Any other lighting upgrade suggestions?

Thank you!! I think the same way! I could edit out my mistakes to look like a professional like everyone else, but I purposely leave my mistakes included so people learn! No. Ours is a platinum so it came standard with the split mirror/camera mirror

CornPopWasABadDude Some people are not as comfortable or familiar with working on cars and prefer seeing a longer video that shows the complete process from start to finish step-by-step. It’s better to show everything so everyone gets whatever they need from it than cut corners and leave those less experienced in the dark!

I mean thanks for the video it was definitely a help and confirmed to me that those two compartments would pop out without me breaking any tabs for or anything but I did those lights and the two reverse lights in less time than the 8 min video lol but I'm probably pretty far above average knowledge when it comes to this stuff

You got robbed, those bulbs cost less than 5 dollars on Ebay for 10 bulbs

Those eBay ones are always hit or miss. Ik for my Mercedes they don’t work well with the CANBUS system and throw up error codes. Plus it’s like $15-20. Who cares 🤷🏾‍♂️ Rather just get trusted brand name instead of knock offs from eBay when the price is so low. I’m glad they worked for you though!
