I want to thank you for this informative video. As a certified amateur shadetree mechanic I decided to change to struts and mounts (as they were shot at only 40K miles just like on my '05) on my '07 3 due to it's low mileage rather than a complete strut assembly. The pass side went as smooth as your video and as well I could expect. The drivers side fought me at every damn step like a precocious child at bedtime. It turns out my father in law had an accident many years ago and they cheated him by using crap parts in the repair. UGH!!

Thank you for your feedback! ! We appreciate your nice comment. Unfortunately, each car requires particular replacement and everything depends on a technical condition of car parts units. Our videos are just informative in the replacement sequence and if any tool is not available, we always recommend replacing the car part at Car Specialized Service. Best regards, Autodoc.

Thank you very much. This helped considerably. I had to jack the sway bar down to reattach the sway bay link, and found that the sway bar link has a 5mm Allen key slot in the middle of the male side, thankfully, as it started turning when tightening.

Assuming that the new struts seat fully into the hub carrier, would there be any reason to get a new alignment done? (Any slop in the upper 3 mounting bolts maybe?)

Thank you for the feedback! The main thing before replacing the shock absorbers is to make some marks, in order to mount the parts in the right place. If everything is done correctly, there is no need in alignment. Best regards, Autodoc.

Hope that BJ is ok after being lifted on its case instead if it’s outer ring. Better without the music. And love how the strut wasn’t seized into the hub like most of them.

One of the better tutorials. But,.. 1. 21st century, put some glasses on your techs if you care about them. 2. Tool size and torque graphics would help. 3. We're driveway mechanics, please replace the elevator music with Metal. The video helped, thanks.

Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, the complexity of replacement on each particular model of car is individual and it all depends on the technical condition of the parts' joint connection. Our videos are informative and show only the general principles of the constitution and the operation of the cars and it is in no way to be taken as a manual for repair and maintenance. Best regards, Autodoc.
