You should use brake cleaner to wipe the new discs before putting the tires back on. The discs are coated with storage wax or oil to keep them from rusting. Now you foul your pads if not removed first. Also use brake lube in the backs of the pads to keep them from squeking, as mentioned earlier by Mark.

you're right, but still, in my case, I tend to think that the problem is elsewhere, the composition of the brake pads that contain too much iron. Now, the sound is not always present

Please note that the pads are not equal - there are inner and outer pads. The inner pads also have direction. The old pads were wrong. The new are fitted OK. Also use ATE lubricants before push the pistons under the rubber protector and at the padse where they make contact with calliper. Regards.

I recommend using a torque wrench to tighten the screws with the OEMs default values.

I found the following in the VW workshop manual: 21mm: 200Nm 13mm: 35Nm The 21mm can be reused, but it is recommended to clean them The 13mm must be replaced

I’ve been doing this to my own cars ,all VWs ,for the last 15 years and I have never seen a standard bolt holding the cradle on to the strut, it’s either an Alan head,torque , or the 2018 I have is a Triple Square or Spline head.

cand împing pistonul slăbesc capacul, în momentul când se împing pistonasele lichidul va crește și să nu fie presiune nicăieri desfac capacul. Nu trebuie aerisit nimic.

the brakes feel good, one problem would be, squeaking when braking, a problem I know of other brands

Hi, can you guide where the bleed screw is and how this would be done? Planning to do this and noticed this also in the official guide but there's just text nothing to indicate what to do specifically.

Nu stiu daca este o problema comuna dar la Passatul meu Variant 2.0Tdi 150 cai DSG7 2019 la 24 mii km placutele de pe spate au fost terminate.Acuma am 43 mii km in bord si discurile de pe fata cred ca sunt deformate...Esti multumit de upgrade-ul facut cu zimmerman?.Chiar daca masina este in garantie pana in 2024 nu as vrea sa mai merg pe discurile si placutele originale.o zi superba

Salut,discurile sunt de la brembo. Nu știu de ce ți se termină placutele așa repede! Personal,plăcuțele originale au depășit de 60k km, după am folosit plăcuțe brembo care au ținut si ele destul de bine. Totuși trebuie să specific că am un stil de condus liniștit, nu abuzez de frână. Referitor la cazul tău, încearcă să vezi dacă îți rămân roțile blocate,(cea ce nu cred) deci într-o pantă mică, pune mașina pe N dezactivați frână de mână și dacă pleacă de pe loc este în regulă. Referitor la upgrade-ul făcut, totuși am impresia că masina cu discurile si plăcuțele originale oferea o frânare o idee mai bună

@@haydars Small metal brush...or one of the electric screwdrivers... there r some small metal brushes. Clean the screws(slide ones to) and use special gress. All this is extr. good for long term.menten.
