Also changed mine some time back as we moved from South Africa To NZ. And even after my change it is still stuck on South African content even though my google play payment method shows NZ.

Ended up creating another google account with an email i had and signed in on the tv with new account. Seems to have fixed the problem. Still don’t know why i still see previous country content when signing in with old google account even after updating address. Just using new account now and works.

Thanks for this, for some reason Google's own instructions for changing countries is so confusing and cyclical.

I was able to download the app that was not available in my country I want to ask can I make payments also considering the country on my Mastercard is different from what I have written on Google.

if youre having problem with ut not changing on the top u can choose bwtween your old account and new one with different regions and if that didnt help it says on their website it can take up to 48 hours to change

FYI I'd already taken these steps and still couldn't figure out why it wouldn't switch me to my new country. Reading the fine print, Google states that you cannot switch region until you've waited 12 months from creating your new country profile... In the end, I created a new google account (and followed all the steps in the video just to make sure of things) just for installing apps which was based in the new country. That seems to have helped...

Update: I deleted the existing payment profile, then I was able to switch.

For anyone wondering how to change the play account when paying from the app, you need to reinstall the app using the same account you changed to in the play store

I think the best way to change your location on Google play store is to create a new gmail in your location

I've done everything required and it still won't work. I have the payment profile set-up. Additionally, I added a payment method for that payment profile. But whenever I go to the play store it's still my original country's play store. Unless I can change it? But I'm not sure how. Could you help me out with this at all? Thanks.

@abdulhaqsalako3558 I did not have to delete it. I went back into settings >genreral > account and device preferences, and the option to change to the new country was given.

When you change your playstore country to another country.hope google will not banned your two accounts.

Google knows my country. It's how I signed in in the 1st place. Now they are saying my gift card is not in the United States even tho it is. I'm not buying google anymore. Fuck them
