This is a short instructional video on how to change the inner tube in the Muletto Multi-Function Garden Cart, but the same procedure applies to standard hand truck or wheelbarrow tires.
You will need two blunt objects such as a screwdriver or bicycle tire levers, the new inner tube and a tire pump.
First start by fully deflating the old tube by pressing down on the air valve. Then use one of the blunt objects to lift the tire over the rim by inserting the screw driver inside the rim underneath the tire and the prying and lifting the tire over the rim. While holding the first screw driver in place, use the second screw driver or blunt object to pry up the next section of tire, then continue and go around the rim prying up the rest of the tire. Once one side of the tire is completely off the rim, reach in and pull out the old inner tube.
Now lay the new tube over the tire and align the valve stem with the hole, begin stuffing the tube into the tire. Once inside the tire, use your fingers to put the tube around the rim and feed the valve stem through the valve hole. Starting from around the valve stem, use your blunt object as a lever to position part of the tire back around the rim. Now lay the tire on a solid surface and using your palms press the tire onto the rim, go slowly and work your way around.
Your almost done, using your and pump inflate the tire to 30psi.
Put your wheel back on your Muletto.

Gotta love a video that gets straight to the point...5⭐
It wasn't as easy as you made look, but I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks much.
I was on the verge of giving up getting a 3.00 - 4 tyre back on its rim after repairing a punctured inner tube when I saw this video. Seeing as how other people were having the same trouble as me spurred me on. Spraying the tyre and rim with window cleaner helped. Lacking upper body strength I put on my heavy duty Muck Boots, placed the wheel on the ground and stood on the tyre feet astride the rim. I carefully used a screwdriver to ease that last bit of tyre over the rim. Job done. Before starting make sure the inner tube is devoid of air by removing valve core. Thanks The Muletto.
Great demo! Thanks so much for the thorough brevity-what the world needs now.
The video makes it look like its easy when in reality it is not. That tire looked very pliable.
Good job Muletto. No fuss straightforward demo. Thanks bud.
i changed my first tube in a 2 wheel dolly following this. thanks for the instructions
This helped me greatly. I tried it before watching this and punched holes in my tire tubes, very frustrating. This vid made it go smoothly.
I LOVE short n sweet..no fuss/ no mess! thanks!
Getting the tube in the hole was trickiest part. Used soap on rim to make tire slip on easier too. Great vid.
The amount of times I've struggled to get the tyre back on by leveraging not realising the easiest way is to lay it down and push either side with your hands. Thanks a million for posting this!
Thanks - I couldn't get the tire back around the rim. Appreciate your video.
Excellent demonstration! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the post. Excellent instruction, video production , and technique. I appreciate the help! Thank you! Ron
Great 👍 fixed my tire in five minutes 👍👍👍🤘thanks 😊
Great video, thanks. I was getting frustrated, but you bailed me out with the demo.
Your video helped me to install the innertube in my wheel barrel tire. I did place one knee on the tire while I worked the tire evenly with both my hands. Thanks.
I'm over seventy-five and this looks like I can do this. Thanks
Thank you so much…female trying to save a bit of money by doing it myself… I couldn't but easy peasy with your help:)
Cheers, helped alot. Saved me a lot of time, Loved the final push on step, was worried about that, but worked a treat.
This was very helpful! Getting the tire back on was quite a beast. I just slowly kept using my blunt object to pull the tire under the rim. Took lots of grunts but we got there and amazingly did not ruin the new tube in the process :)
Thank You!
Got it done thanks to you. Saved 35$. Thanks!
Liked and subscribed! Was struggling to get the tire over the rim. Your technique worked out great
Thanks for the help. Very much appreciated!
This really helped a lot! Thanks for posting!
HELL YEAH. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. NO BS. THANK YOU

thats because its not that easy, i have never seen the small tire that can be closed over the rim by hand .
Short and VERY Clear! Thannk you!
Thanks! Just the help I needed changing a buggy inner tube! :)
Very helpful & informative tutorial. Thank you.
You are the MAN- THANK YOU-
You did a very good job of explaining the procedure!
Thanks for that. It'll be a big help this weekend
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the instructions. I once tried to replace the tube and pierced the tube. This time after watching you clip, I did it and inflated the tube too much.So now I have to get another tube, lets see what happens with the third attempt.
Thanks this help me
Got it done in the end, thanks 🙏
I watched this and did it in less than 3min. Thanks
Thanks made it easy 😀
WELL DONE
Thank you! Good job!
I have also posted this elsewhere on UT. The job is hard unless you set up ok. "I have a kayak trolley which regularly gets inner tube punctures. Easy way to replace cover on plastic rim. No need for tyre irons usually. I put a length of plastic conduit through the axle hole in the hub. This drops into a hole in my heavy timber workbench. This holds hub steady and i can ease the cover on with finger pressure. Lubricate first - washing up liquid is fine." Hope this tip saves lots of sore fingers and pinched inner tubes.
I appreciate the instruction. Thx
Thanks - very helpful!
I'm no pro but it helps to lube the rim with some talcum powder. Also if the rim is sitting on something like a wood block around 1" thick it will help to push the tire down onto it. Make sure the block is not wider than the rim. Put it on the ground and kneel on the end of the tire that is seated in the rim. This stops it from popping back up as you try to work the rest under the rim. Using this technique works with bigger wheels that you can't just push in with your hands.
simple job, but its nice to see how to do it efficiently cheers
Added a little bit of dish soap around the rim and it slips right on!
Thank you!
Nice work!
you're the man
Was driving me mad, then watched this and it slipped on lol,, great video Thanks
Thank you for this video.
Lol I was going about it all wrong thanks for saving me a few bucks and the shameful walk of carrying it in the tire shop 🤘
Excellent job
Thanks for this video :D
Top shelf! Efficient and easy-looking. Well, I'm off to try your method.

Update: It worked! My rim is metal and the tube 8 in. So my stuff is perhaps more rigid than yours, but eventually got the outer tire back on. Thanks!
Very Helpful ! Thanks for the video.. Buddy
nice video, short and useful
Thank you, lots of help
You make it look so easy

@@pimc172 Yes, it's solid, no inner tube.
thank you I had hard time putt the inner tube back in the tire
2:00 Very helpful.
Thank you!!
Great video and thank you. My exact kind of tire and rim but now way I could push it on. I used c-clamps like in the other video to hold the first part in place, then I had a chance but it was still murder. I guess some are tighter than others. Great video, thanks.
Terrific. FATBOY Mini BMX tire change guide. Thank you for posting this vid.
thanks that was helpful
I'm going to get a solid wheel tire ... Good vid
Thanks!
When removing or installing a tire with a tube, you never use a screwdriver unless you want pinch the tube, making your problem even worse. Use tire-spoons....
thanks!
Thanks great way to get tyre back o
Thanks ! I will give it a go .grace
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! Who are the idiots that gave this a thumbs down???
coouple questions.. do you hand pump as opposed to from a higher pressure tank so as to avoid an overfill? 2.. do we just assume the tube is flat and smooth and the base of the filler neck will not pinch at the rim opening and cause a leak?
Should check the tire for the object that caused the puncture by feeling the inside of the tire

Kevin Jones yep I didn't do that once and the thorn that put a hole in the first inner tube put a hole in the second one too.

@@freedomhard2310 i didn't and hope that its been so long that any organic debris is long decomposed and soft unable to puncture new tube...been filling up the tube for years with slow leak..will know shortly.
This was an easy tire tho'. I have a problem with a bigger and more robust one, the tire rubber is far more in under the inner wheel (don't know how to explain). Which makes it impossible to get out with just those tools.. is there any better methods?
Useful. But i am yet to remove the wheel from the cart itself. Pls make a video how to remove the wheel first. AFter that, i can use your tutorial to change the tube.
That tire is very flexible, must be new. Mine is very hard to remove due to age.😢
thanks.
It helps if you soap the tire bead too
Good
Thanks mate, this is gold. I stuffed up and took the tyre off and can't get it back!
Can I just replace these tires with the type that doesn't have to be aired up?
Damn that tire is a lot more forgiving mine is super stiff not as easy at all
my tire was waaaaay tighter and stiffer. I wonder if warming it up a bit may help, looks like this chap is in a very warm area?
Good video but I would check that whatever punctured the tube in first place (through tyre wall maybe) wasn’t still in wall of tyre before changing tube. Otherwise when you reinflate new tube, it will just puncture again. Should always check.
