Thanks for the review, wasn't sure what to get for my e31, so I just ordered the same one as you. Plus I just upgraded all the speakers to carbon fiber ones, shout me if you want the details.

James Love the deck and the tips ... wondering where you got the jack adapter? ...can't seem to find it here (can find the Blaupunkt Bremen...) but not that slick jack into my 850i... any help be VERY appreciated. Also wondering if this head eliminates the amp?

You should definitely do it but I do know what you mean in regards to the price. You'd assume something that looks retro would be less than a head unit that supports Apple CarPlay!

Just about to install this unit in my MR2. Did you even read the instructions?! 🤣. The cage has to go in first and you bend up the tabs to hold it in the dash. Only then do you put the head unit in. If you want to use the external mic for hands-free calls, it plugs into the lead on the back of the unit, not the aux socket on the front. That’s why there is so much cable with it. You’ve got a lovely car there, btw 👌
Cool! Wehave the same BMW Business RDS I want to get the same Blaupunkt radio for my HD61 E34... So aside from the Bremen SQR, i need that adapter cables for my car Does your E31 have the HiFi audio system with the amplifier?

Yeah you'll need the cables - I think I have the amplifier but I can't be sure
