Bro I cannot say how thankful I am, my motor was stuttering and cogging, and I gave up on it until today, once I recalibrated the esc to the motor it runs so smooth, I’ve been stuck with this problem for the past year.

I just changed my nephew's mega to brushless with a cheap combo so it wouldn't be too fast for him. Got flycolor 45 amp esc motor combo figuring it'd be perfect for 2s lipo but it's clogging out and has really weak reverse now. Idk if u have any tips but if so please lmk . Thx

Hey everyone. I just inherited a 1/8 rally car from my father (who is no longer able to use it due to illness). I don’t have a manual and trying to work out what the heck I am doing. The car works but am I able to adjust the throttle as it is so sensitive. @@pyrace it's not an opinion it's a fact. The video makes it sound like all esc are calibrated this way and most are not. So like I said it's worthless if yours is different and useful if yours happens to be one that it will work this method. Hopefully it did work for you 👍

OK so I did all these steps to the T on my Redcar shredder w\sc8-rtr ESC, neutral beeps once, throttle beeps twice, brakes beeps 3 and I wait holding brakes until it beeps an blinks green then it starts flashing red and I let go of brakes and nothing happens, I still get no throttle or brakes just steering works, is there something I'm doing wrongly?

At :53 you mention that the throttle adjustment should be set to zero before proceeding with calibration, yet the manual for my EZRUN-WP-SC8 says to "set the EPA/ATV value of throttle channel to 100%". Why the difference? Great videos. Thanks.

hi, i just put the goolrc motor and esc combo in my tamiya cars it works great, but if i try it in a wltoys car i get the stutter? i can lift the car up and it runs fine, but on the ground it struggles at first to get moving? i really like these wltoys cars but the brushless issue is puzzling

wltoys are really high gearing , if you used a small motor they cog hard.

I'm going to assume it has a brushed ESC? If it goes full throttle without the switch even being turned on, then it sounds like the ESC has burned out and is just sending the full voltage of the battery to the motor :-/

Mine won't do the process it'll beep once but it doesn't beep at all during the calibration what am I doing wrong is it the shitbox R-45 3ch receiver I got from redcat racing or is it that I don't know where to plug receiver's in. Cause I know it's not the esc.

I have a redcat tornado, sometimes it will go into reverse but very rare. I recalibrated the car and it still doesn't go reverse only forward and turning, can anyone help?

So I'm not getting full speed going forward but I'm getting full speed in reverse I calibrated it three times even the opposite way I haven't found a solution is my ESC just bad?

In the programming menu, it's the first option. Set it to 2 beeps :-) There's a table of all the programmable items in the instructions.

I have a JLB Cheetah 11101 c/w a DumboRC X4 transmitter. I have been having problems while attempting to reverse the vehicle. It seems to be a 'hit or miss' scenario. Sometimes I can push the trigger all the way forward (in order to reverse the vehicle) but I get no response.Forward seems to be working fine. Any suggestions?🤔

If u have forward brake and reverse .. u can't go straight from forward into reverse because it damage the gears .. forward .. if u brake then return to neutral and wait a second then reverse ... Just work out how long u need to delay before trying to hit reverse

The reason I was having trouble reversing the vehicle was because I had the throttle trim on the transmitter turned down too low. On my tx, it has to be set slightly to the right of 12:00 in order to engage the reverse gearing.

Do you know What's wrong if the ESC just stop blinking when i start the calibration?

My esc never goes green, and I can not get it to program in right order, it does neutral fine, but nothing at full throttle. But if it full brake it beeps twice then let's me go full throttle beep 3 times. But now reverse way faster than forward. I've tried several time to get it to program in right order, wtf am I doing wrong

I bought 70$ wl Toys kit. It runs backwards and reverse is faster than forward. I hope this solves the problem. If I can straighten the car out it's going to rip. Thanks.

According to the manual, the green LED flashing 3 times means Over-Heat Protection :-/

I have the same motor (kv3300) and the same esc and the battery. My problem with this one is when i put it on the grass it wont drive fast.. Any tips on how to fix that? new motor and esc?

Hi mate make sure your wheel bearings move freely I had that issue if that does not work I would consider getting a 5200mah zeee battery mine flies now thanks to that If not tires could be it make sure its not too heavy remember your tires could get water of or dirt in them just my experience

After a quick google, the car looks to be a rebrand of the Xinlehong 9125. So while the car can technically run 3s, be careful it doesn't overheat as it's technically not recommended. Fun though!

Not familiar with some of those brands, but the Tamiya RS540 is a brushed motor. If that ESC can operate in brushed mode, then yes that sounds all good :-)

I did the calibration and it went well I think but after a while, after reverse, I let go the trottle, it still reverses automatically without me pressing any trigger. I hope you could advife in this. Thanks 😀

If it was calibrated correctly u shouldnt need to move trim .. but he may have adjusted trim with out knowing

How many hour to charge this batt ?

i just built my first rc car and after a while of driving the esc slowly switched the brake funcion with the throttle, and the reverse is when i pull the trigger (supposed to be forwards). i tried this but it didnt work, and i dont know what that esc is and dont have a manual. is there another way to reset it?

Casey Vitti yea i opened it up, it had the 2 mosfets just gone in to ashes, ima get a new one for 5euro from my friend if i cant fix it. the only problem is i have tons of mosfets but cant find the datasheet for the burnt ones. my gens 5300mah still ok, but maybe i cant see the puff bc of the hard case.

That ESC uses the exact same programming protocol as in the video. If it no longer has the set key, you'll need a compatible program card.

I have a feiyue fy03h and the ESC doesn't have a button on it.... now what?

The radio should be the first thing on and the last thing off; never have the car switched on without the radio being on 🙂

I cant seem to be able to enter reset mode. I hold the reset button, turn on amd it still just beeps twice with the gteen flashing light. I have put the controller on first and made sure all batteries are charged.

Try cleaning the whole switch assembly out with contact cleaner - it sounds like the set button isn't working.

Instead of taking off the wheels can I just unplug the motor?

What about if there’s no set button?
