Did I understand correctly, that it is possible to do both Direct Deposit & Print Pay Checks using QuickBooks Payroll? That would be great for businesses with employees who have a checking account that want to use direct deposit and some employees who don't and would prefer a printed check.

That's right, Angel! You can set up direct deposit for employees that want it as well as print checks for other employees. Below I'll include links to explain each option. Set up direct deposit: quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/set-up-payroll/set-up-your-company-payroll-for-direct-deposit/00/369381. Print paychecks: quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/set-up-payroll/print-paychecks-in-quickbooks-online/00/370832. Please let me know if you have any further questions. ^Caitlyn

Hector I'm new to quickbooks 2021 version. We are a new restaurant business just starting on October 2. 2021 and I've already screwed up on running payroll. (Actually some of the workers started training on September 23, 2021 so payday was scheduled for October 8th. About 10 employees got paid with personal checks, because I didn't have payroll quite set up completely. Therefore no taxes or any fees where not deducted and then to make matters worse two days worth of pay was not included. So employees didn't get there full pay (5th & 6th) which the 6th should have been the end of the pay period. How can I fix this? Because when I did actually run payroll the deductions printed out on the employees check stubs. This is a total mess and the next pay period is October 22 this coming Friday. Can I start over with quickbooks or is there a way to fix this? It only applies to just a few of the employees.
