Building construction is a lot different than in India, the house needs to be insulated from cold weather. I will make a video about it

Not just one, quite a few post codes in surrey have that advantage. you can google for it easily, it will list you all the post codes that cover the most number of grammar schools

So saving money for the refurbishment cost itself is a humongous task and we might have to start planning ahead and start saving the money. Is that right?

Yes saranya, but not all houses need to be refurbished. When we bought our first house we didnt lift a finger. We just moved in after we got the keys.

Will that be covered as part of the house loan or a new loan or it should be completely given out of hand from our savings? Also roughly how much initial money we have to plan and keep aside for buying a house. A simple breakdown like 5-10% down payment and then approximately how much more money we need to plan ahead

Refurbishment cost is generally not covered in the loan. As I have mentioned in the video normally banks give u mortgage for 5 or 5and half times ur yearly salary
