Car buying tips: 1. Always get prequalified for a loan (if your financing) before you go to a dealership because most dealerships will try and beat your prequalified loan because they hate dealing with outside companies: 2. Best times to buy a car is the end of the month and towards the end of the year: 3. If your paying it off in cash never tell the dealership that until you make the final deal that you both can agree on: 4. NEVER pay MSRP: 5. Look over the contract completely especially all the dealer fee's, question things you don't know/understand what it is (some dealers will try and put in hidden fee's that you don't need to pay for): 6. If your leasing just remember your limited on miles per year and you are responsible for any damage done to it once lease is over: 7. Shop around, talk to internet sales managers from several dealerships in your area and let them know this, alot of dealers will match or beat other dealers just to make a sale: 8. If your buying a used car don't let the salesman try and distract you during the test drive, some will try and talk your ear off, play the music loud etc, you want your full attention on the car to see if you can hear/feel if anything may be wrong (if your unfamiliar with things you should look for bring someone with you like a mechanic/friend): 9. If your not putting down a significant down payment get GAP: 10. If you have bad credit try and get a cosigner if possible (this isn't a must but will help you get a better deal as far as required downpayment and lower monthly payments etc).......

@@Amix23 You can get an actual paying job! Your hours will have to be lower though since you are only 14 but you can still get paid. People will also pay a lot for pet sitting.
Saying that the car would be sold in a couple of hours is just to put pressure on you to buy now and limit your chance to negotiate a better deal and talk to other dealerships. It’s a dealer tactic that you should never fall into, a trap that dealers always do so that you don’t find another dealer or go elsewhere. It is a better solution to continue shopping to different dealers to find the best deal. they can always find a car you want with the equipment you want and the color you want and get it delivered don’t fall into that trap, especially when it is a new car.

Do you realize that Hannah uses her channel to share more than a video? Its content goes beyond entertaining... She informs, shares knowledge, joins social causes, etc... And that is admirable. I never imagined that watching a video of a student and her week at her university hooked me so much, seeing you today giving advice and informing your audience is impressive. Thanks Hannah! P.S. I'm a fan of your hairstyle, it makes you look very pretty. 🙈 haha

A little advice from someone going through the used car buying process with their parents who have purchased many cars in the past. Kelly Blue Book is a great resource for researching information, but they have many ties to car dealerships (which has been documented) and often make the price range for cars inflated. Make sure to look around and really research and go in with what you you can pay and believe the vehicle to be worth and don't sway from that! You can always walk out of a dealership (you're never stuck), there will ALWAYS be another car, and you can always cave and go back if you have looked around and maybe have been offering too low of a price for the car you're looking for. You are the buyer and you're in control! (also! car dealerships will always try to get you to "act fast" because their cars are selling "so quickly" this is another gimmick to try and get you to buy ASAP. Again, there will ALWAYS be another car (if you're looking for something common like a Honda Civic or CR-V. Don't fall into any dealership tricks).
this was honestly.... so helpful!!! currently in the same situation of wanting to buy a car but not knowing how much to save up, whether to buy or lease, how financing works, etc., so this was very informative!!! i am a newbie to this channel but so glad i found you :'')

I got my first car that wasn't my parents the beginning of march. Saved for probably a year and a half, my grandma helped me pay for about half of it and here I am with no payments and I am very grateful I was able to do that without taking out a loan:)
After re-watching part 3, I understood!!! I honestly felt really intimidated at first while watching because I'm constantly told I'm dependent and I'm not financially literate, but that's only because I've never been taught. This truly helps, thank you so much for existing.

My mom does financing for the local dealerships and she said to NOT tell the dealers you have a down payment until the financing process is almost done. Also, definitely research (if you can) how the dealerships treat those they use for financing loans because that will play a big part in how your loan is dealt with!
@chrissychanel5837
2 жыл бұрын
how would this affect the financing process?
@starrriaa
2 жыл бұрын
@@chrissychanel5837 I do not agree with this because if you don’t have good credit you need to put more down so therefore you do have to tell the financing managers how much you have to put down on the car you want due to your credit so every person circumstance is different if you have good credit then you could probably get away with not telling them how much you wanna put down but if you really wanna car and don’t have good credit score but you have a down payment it’s best if you tell them how much you’re willing to put down
I love how you explained the financial part of it! It’s was easy to understand as a person who doesn’t know much about that topic ❤️

I already own my car so not on the market for one right now, however, I wanted to comment and compliment you on how nice your videos ALWAYS are. They're 100 hundred percent consistently interesting. Never boring. The fact that you insert little sound effects or text overlays always keeps me engaged. First-time car buyer here and my lord am I happy I found this video!! I've been so lost with loans and re-financing and insurance and the number of notes I took watching this could rival my school notes. Thank you!!
omg I love your videos hannah! the editing and aesthetic of it is so much more fun to watch compared to others! I hope you’re doing well❤️
Wow thank you for the info about paying loans back. I needed this!! When you explained writing out a separate check for principal only, that whole idea blew my mind. Excellent video girl!! 👏🏾👏🏾
I am currently almost done with my business finance degree to become a financial advisor and I can tell say that you provided some excellent information on the entire process. This video has lots of information that not everyone covers let alone explain in detail. Keep up the great work!

This video could not have come at a better time. I’m currently in the car buying process and it’s stressful as heck! Thanks Hannah!
Another Tip: DONT LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH DOWN PAYMENT YOU CAN PUT DOWN UNTIL THEY LOCK YOUR INTEREST RATE FIRST ‼️ because they will always try to give you the highest depending on your down payment. Once they lock the interest rate , that’s when you tell them how much you will be putting down. ( they can’t unlock the interest rate ) 😁
@cheapandevilgirl
3 жыл бұрын
The interest rate depends, in part, on the amount financed. But I would not mention down payment until negotiating that big whopping price first.
@ShihabAlvi

Not everyone will put very low down because if you put a good chunk down you will get a better rate if they know

Best thing about Sunday’s is knowing your favorite KZreadr is about to post “Hannah” . That was great advice for those buying a new car it can be a scary process but it should be taken with calm. We is a real one.
Thank you for this video, I’ve never bought a car and the process is scary to me. I’m definitely going to subscribe to your channel. Also, I appreciate that you spoke highly about the car you got instead of getting something flashy like any other KZreadr
I’m a little older than you and buying my first car hopefully soon. It’s so hard to find out the process when you don’t have a “car person” in your life, so I appreciate this video so much! Thanks and I hope you’re doing well!
I graduated from driving school yesterday so your whole car advice and tour videos really help me so much now!
Thank you so much for this🙏🏼 I’ve been thinking about buying a new car next year and these tips were on point!!
Hannah, this is an awesome video and you’re very informative! I highly suggest refinancing that loan in 6 months if you can and get not only a lower interest rate, but also a shorter loan note! I’m so glad you touched on paying principal/ interest rate payments. You’re a badass.

I swear once I learned about finance and whatnot in school, I felt so much more in control of my life it was insane 😂
I just bought a 2020 Honda CR-V. I found you through you decorate your car video or something like that. Everything you said is 100 percent true. Especially the non negotiable items. For me it was 4 doors, back seat air vents for my daughter, and blue tooth, and Honda sensing (mainly modulation braking system) and a suv. I went with the basemodel. It had everything I needed but I can live without the other bells and whistles. But I am so happy. This video is so accurate
