@@ironreed2654 well I have done a whole lot of research on liftoff oversteer and really you just have to understand that you can’t take your foot off the grass really fast while cornering. Also if you take your hands off the wheel when the snap oversteer starts the car just kinda fixes itself lol

Two real simple things you can do: Number one is check the fluids, usually a good indication if someone took care of the car or not. Number two is hold your hand at the end of the exhaust with the car running (make sure it's a cold start). If you see oil on your hand it could be the pistons, sleeves, or in the case of a Subaru probably a head gasket. There are also forums for just about every car on the market and if your buying something common the known faults will be well documented.

Gosh, its so weird hearing someone on the internet mention Taco John's because it feels like whenever I mention it to any of my friends, none of them have even heard of it!
8th gen civic si. Cheap, parts available, very easy to learn on, huge aftermarket scene with thousands out there willing to give advice, and when i went FBO and tune it honestly had enough pickup to be fun. I don’t care what you think nothing beats banging 9,000 rpms in a 6 speed civic making 240 whp.
I absolutely LOVE the second gen Subaru Legacy sedan. It was my third car, first was a 1988 Nissan Sentra 2 door 4 speed, second was a 1988 Buick Lesabre with the 3.8 V6. The Sentra was very slow but it took a beating and made smiles, the buick was barely faster than a D16 EG Hatch (no v-tech) to 60, but somehow topped out around 145. But the Legacy.... That was my girl.
My first car was a SN95 mustang, base model v6 my parents bought for 1k. I loved that thing as a teen. Then I got a '86 Nissan Sentra for 2k, that grew on me even though it barely did 65mph but it got almost 40mpg. Thing was my first manual car I owned, and had a carburetor. Now I'm looking at getting myself a fun car again since I can afford to put time into it as an adult

Currently watching this great vid after I bought my first car just over a month ago and passed my test in January. My first car is a Baby Blue Audi A4 B7 got it for a good price and payed off my insurance for the year so very happy with that. When I was B7 hunting I found some stupid prices for ridiculous mileage near my area that were on sale. And I found my baby after 5 days of hunting. Thing is that it was over 100km away so I asked the owner if he could meet me halfway and he was very nice to do so. He was an old dude (bonus 😁), and the car has been treating me well ever since. Just getting a few minor engine problems fixed. Good few mods on the way. Moral of the story is dont jump the gun when you see a car you like and want keep looking. There’s always a better one for a better price. Just make sure the engine is good 😌👍🏾.

Great choice! My first car I also got this year was an A4 B8.5 Quattro. I love how practical these are, while still being upscale and affordable (under 12 grand for a really nice one). 4-doors, decently roomy and upscale interior, and a surprisingly large trunk. Especially since these A4's offer modern features of electronic assists like blind spot monitoring and backup camera, heated and electronic multi-zone adjustable seats, keyless entry, along with AWD and traction control (fantastic in the winter). I also like how Audi is more of an understated brand that's not as pretentious as Mercedes or BMWs, while still offering similar levels of quality. My other options for 4-door AWD sedans were Subarus, which were either too expensive, or old/thrashed with nowhere near the same amount of features as these Audi's for the price.
This is why my first car is a 2013 Scion tC it fits everything I need it to be as a college student and I love the way they look
My first car was a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S and bought it myself in June 2019 for about $3200. I then sold it and got a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T Sport in October 2020 with the help of my pops (only credit-wise; I paid insurance, down payement, and monthly payments myself). I then traded in the 1.5T for a 2020 2.0T in December 2021 (The bank thought it was better to just buy off the 1.5T since it was more convenient for them considering how not great my interest was at the time of getting the 1.5T (16%), nice no debt there). This was my first time doing it on my own without any credit bumps or having my pops co-sign. I'm currently doing well with the payments and I'll be doing quite a bit of cosmetic (maybe performance) modding since I'll be having it for 3 years.

Practicality, performance and reliability is what I look after. Sedans, hatchbacks and wagons are my favorite types of cars. I mean would they know if you buy a tuner? I dont think the Sentra can be pushed too far but you can have a little fun.

Very cute body style on that gen Sentra! Good choice bud enjoy the fuel savings and low cost of repair :)
I bought a 1991 nissan stanza as the first car in my name. need a box to get from point to point but honestly its quite a fun car. has the essentially same engine platform as the 240sx and sounds pretty good when I hit the gas. Love all the early 90s tech like "unleaded fuel only" and automatic seatbelts.
I needed this😭
I had options and I probably chose the more expensive one(in the long run). The Mazda RX-8 $4,500 + $1,800 to get it fully healthy. Now the real transformation begins

1st car mom helped me with was a '90 Grand Prix, 2nd with help was a '01 Mazda Protege and then strictly purchasing myself was a '93 Z32 300ZX.. Good stuff, fun times >:D
at 20 years old it was a nissan pathfinder 2003 which was my mom's at 25 years old , collected a down payment which would have bought me a decent car but i had paid it for a camaro zl1 2015😍 and since then was stuck with the monthly bank payments🤦♂️ but i love it!
Speaking of, should I go for a good condition 2000 Camry with 185k miles for 2.4k?

That’s extremely overpriced yes it will run till you die but it’s 21 years old and has almost 200k miles maybe if you can get it under 1,400 me personally I would not give more than 1k

Will you get 2.4k dollars of value from it, probably yeah. But is it worth 2.4, I'm not sure. That's a car that is a cheap daily and will treat you well. Go for it!

Plan on going to some dealerships this weekend to buy a car soon enough so I’m stop by and look around
My first car I bought was my 2005 Ranger (which I bought used in 2007, and it only had 6500 miles on it). In 2016, I bought a 2012 Escape, and relegated the Ranger to a spare vehicle. In 2018, I traded in the Escape for a new Escape and finally sold the Ranger to a kid in the neighborhood who needed a first car. I still have the '18 Escape, but have considered trading it in for either a '24 Escape or Santa Fe.
i’m almost 16 and looking for a car, you have my full attention
Hey fitment...I love you
I was able to buy my neighbors 06 manual tsx two years ago as my first car (manual at that) and I’ve been in love with ever since
My first car is the Kia Stinger base. Love the thing and even though it's not the tt six cylinder, it has some power and it is an absolute blast when full sent on some windy backroad. Reliable, practical, insurance is cheap as hell for me despite being an adolescent male. Also please do "So you want a Maserati Granturismo". Please Alex I'm begging you

This goes to all those newly Enlisted in the military, too. You cant afford the 2020 Mustang GT with 16-22% APR. No matter what your marriage arrangement is.
Just bought my second car. A 2014 Race Red Focus ST. I did MONTHS of research. Research is essential!!
Bouta be grabbing some wheels from you guys soon y’all rock

Got my dream car basically already :) a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon GT, got it for cheaper than you would imagine, is the most reliable car within my whole family, gets a lot of looks with some simple body and wheel work and a cold air intake and a full cat back exhaust.. hell i've even gapped a couple other competitors before like a BRZ. Its a super fun car to drive, of course it's not a ferrari but that's what makes it special.. no one knows what it is.
This info is definitely very helpful.
My aunt is giving me her 2012 chrysler 300 as my first car. Whenever she gives it to me.
