I love this. Im a auto master tech but love anything mechanical. I can see me jumping into watch making hobby in the future! I didnt even know you could recase a movement and build your own watch. I bet that dial was expensive?

It is very nice hobby and it let you dive in the microcosmos of the mechanic. It is amazing to deal with all these tiny parts. The dial wasn’t cheap… that’s true… I can’t remember the price anymore 🫣 Thank you for watching

@@MagicWatchmaking yes sir. Thank you for making these videos! As much as I'm tempted to order a crate of tools to get started. I may settle for a WV3010 so I can atleast get my hands on that beautiful movement. Its amazing how bland a regular ETA 6498 is compared to this embellished version.

What a classic look! That was very satisfying to view-thank you. Is the blue color on the movement screws for cosmetic purposes?

Thank you, glad you like my new watch! Back in the day, these screws were made of steel and were flame-blued to prevent rusting (which is something that I will show in an upcoming video 🤫). In this case the blue is just cosmetic, though ☺️
