Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Learn how to easily build a life-sized Santa's workshop for your Christmas light show!! This workshop is 9 feet tall, six feet wide, and has a holographic Santa Claus in the workshop for children to enjoy.
The best part of this workshop is this is something you can build all by yourself! Once initially built, this workshop is designed to be put together by just a single person each year!! This is designed to come apart in less than four hours!!!
This Santa's workshop can be assembled in a single weekend and it dismantles in under 4 hours. This workshop is very easy to take down and store.

Smart idea to construct it in a way that you're able to build it by yourself every year. Sometimes it is difficult to get people to help out in the cold. Well done

Hello Chelsea, I'd recommend, if you want to go big, to go with a pixel show. @canispaterchristmas is an excellent source on how to do pixel shows on KZread. I'd also recommend Xlights for programming. If you are doing a string light show then I'd recommend LOR (Light-O-Rama). I use Prism software by Revival Control Systems. However, the forums and overall magnitude of help you are afforded through other animators on the LOR websites make it worth it, in my opinion. Revival does indeed have a fabulous owner that has been a great help to us and the overall price per channel is much lower than LOR. However, in the long run, you'll want/need help from other animators over time so going with a software that has good/great online forums becomes a huge advantage! Overall, the key is to add something each year that you'd like to see in a Christmas light show. You have to make it interesting for yourself! Pretty soon you'll be creating year-round...it is addictive!
Would of been nice to see the animated Santa

That's a good idea, Lin. I'll film that and get it going for a release later this year.

@@ChristmasOnCrestline You do a very good job with it! I am thinking of doing something similar, but on a smaller scale. What projector and screen do you use?
Hey Charlie. Thanks for the great videos! On this one I didn’t see what type of plywood you used on the walls. Did you paint with exterior red?

Hey there, Ryan! Thanks for the kind words. I used 3/4 inch plywood for the floor, 1/4 inch for the sides, and 1/2 inch for the roof. The floor is the only part that I can't install myself. It weighs 200 lbs or so and is very awkward to pick up. So, I recruit my teenage son to lend a hand each year. Thanks again for reaching out! My apologies for not staying the sizes in the video... a rookie mistake lol. Have a great day and feel free to reach out anytime!
