How To Build Multiple Income Streams | HEALTHCARE
Hello, my name is Ahmed Mirza. I am a Nurse Practitioner and in this video I talk about how to build multiple income streams while working in healthcare. This is helpful whether you are a nurse, doctor, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or any other healthcare worker. I go over 5 different income streams that you can start working towards today!
1. Working an additional part-time or PRN job
- This is extremely common, something to fall back on
- I currently do telemedicine aside from my full-time job
- This is why I prefer working full-time jobs what are only 3-4 times/week
2. Telemedicine
- Set your own schedule, working from home
- Must have multiple state licenses
- Putting your resume out there
- Staffing companies: i.e. Barton Associates, NextLocums, MedCare Staffing
3. Social Media
- KZread: Google adsense, sponsors, affiliated links
- Instagram: sponsors
4. Real Estate
- Rental income, cashflow
- Mortgage pay down
- Tax benefits (lots of write offs and depreciation)
- Use your home equity (HELOC or cash out refi)
5. Dividend Stocks
- Stocks that pay you on a regular basis
- Long-term way to wealth and passive income

This is really sound advice. For the majority of my career as an RN I’ve had two jobs. I love it and it’s smart. As I transition into the FNP role I plan to maintain two jobs as well.

I've had some luck with Onyx MD and Barton Associates. You can also try Wheel. They are all staffing companies that can help you find a telemed job.

@@ahmedmirza3458 another question, did you have to sign a power of attorney to change your DEA address with Barton? Or with another locums company? Thank you!
My challenge is that I am so exhausted at the end of the day after my primary job, I can't imagine picking up a second gig. I don't have any $$ to buy stock, real estate, etc. as an add'l stream of income. I just don't know what to do to increase my income...

I hear ya, it's not easy. But you either have to find out a way to earn more or cut down on your expenses. Ways to earn more... Ask for a raise, look for something else that pays more, travel jobs.
