How to build an analogue synth track with composer Thomas Balmforth
We sit down with The Firm label supervisor and composer Thomas Balmforth as he builds an 80's inspired library track. Tom condenses his process down into these five simple layers - Pads, Bass Line, Soft Pads, Lead Synth, Arpeggiators. Using both analogue synths such as the Juno 6 and digital synths you can find on your DAW, Tom walks us through the musical techniques that are synonymous with the era.
