    I've watched a lot of these videos, and nobody has ever made it clear that you could record a second take for just expression. That is really handy, especially for strings

    I can't find out HOW to record just for expression. It always records over the original sound. If anyone knows how to do it...

    @@joaopedrojosinocidcamargo3010 I don't know which DAW you're using but generally if you go to the settings for recording you can enable or disable recording automation. Make sure it's enabled.

    this was great! can you guys do one on midi instrument choirs? I've been fiddling with the spitfire labs Gaelic ones which are great but I'd be interested to see how you guys make them sound more lively

    Great video! How do you assign the velocity and expression controls to the two physical wheels on the keyboard?

  • @Mikaz24

    @Mikaz24

    Жыл бұрын

    Expression (volume) and Dynamics or modulation (velocity) are already assigned to CC11 (Expression) and CC01(Dynamics). Your keyboard's modwheel is already attached to modulation. But just in case, you can also open the plug in, right click on the expression or Dynamic wheel or button and press "assign midi CC" and then just move the fader or wheel that you want. It's a year late, pretty sure you figured it out by now, but if not, hope that helps!

    I love the video and I have learned a lot. I have a question with my string parts. How do you make the transition sound seamless and realist? My string arrangement sounds like a mini pause between chord changes. Thanks for any help.

    Increase the release time, or you could go into the midi roll and extend the note so they overlap slightly
