This just made me think of "hamster wheels" for people, then it just dawned on me that was kind of already invented in Treadmills. Not exactly the same, but basic principle is the same.

I guess this is meant to show the basic concept. I would be surprised if the wheel made one revolution. There are key design fails. It wouldn't function practically.
