    Ok so finally have this working on a bedrock realm. I made a slight improvement for when it miss-fires. Since the realm has lag sometimes slices would not all move at the same time. This was a catastrophe to fix since some of the slices would go too far back and break some redstone. To prevent this, I changed the row of blocks behind the pistons to obsidian. It will still misfire once in a great while but no longer breaks permanently. Just hit the switch twice and you are good to go. I also on set up one side intentionally and combined with a t-flip-flop to have have stone pressure plates on both sides of the bridge trigger the expansion/retraction. On one side those same plates activate the 2x6 piston door. A ring around the entire entrance to the bridge of stone pressure plates far from the bridge assure anybody approaching will active the bridge with enough time for it to be extended by the time the run up. Thanks a ton for this build!

    I got it to work like five times in a row and then the timing gets all messed up and the pistons get stuck/come apart. So I tried the suggestion below that we replace the last row behind the pistons with immovable objects, and it seemed to work better, but still is "iffy" enough that I think I'll have to dig it out/take it down. Really fun challenge to put it together though.

    I did this build, and it worked the first few times, but then the pistons started to get tangled and unsynched for no reason. I reset them 5 or 6 times before I gave up. And yeah, all the repeaters were in the right position. I appreciate all the work that went into the design... but this is an unstable machine.

    Hey Fed X, absolutely LOVE the looks of this and can't wait to try it out. I have a question though. Is it possible to set up a power button that will lock the bridge in either the extended or retracted positions? When my son and I finish up our fortress, he wants to open it up to his friends to try taking the castle over. That being said, a draw bridge that can be operated freely from both sides will defeat the purpose of it's actual intention, (the castle guard deciding if they are ok to pass or not). However, with a power lock on the castle side that can be activated to prevent it from opening or closing would be a great addition I think. If it is possible, how and where would it need to be placed?

  • @Gamering8482

    @Gamering8482

    Жыл бұрын

    Sorry for being 10 months late, but if it still matters I did this accidentally once with a hidden door. If you make it 2 levers instead of buttons, place a red stone torch so the drawbridge is retracted when the lever is on. Now, when you retract the bridge from the castle side, because the power is on from that side disabling the power from the other side won’t matter. Sorry if this is a bit wordy.

  • @Gamering8482

    @Gamering8482

    Жыл бұрын

    I’ll explain some more, when you go across the bridge from the opposite side, you turn the power off so the red stone torch gets activated therefore making the bridge extend. Then, from the other side, use a lever to turn the power back on (disabling the torch) so the bridge recedes. Now, if you disable the power from the enemy side it won’t matter because there is power coming from the castle side keeping the torch from enabling. Hope this helps!

I can only do one section of this bridge, all the other sections stick together, really bad. I have built and rebuilt this multiple times, but the honey and the slime constantly grab each other... Same as the underground staircase. But that is a totally different story. What am I doing wrong? I am on XBOX 1.

    You'd need either a flying machine to bring the bridge upward, or some form of triple piston extender. Both of which are impossible to build in bedrock due to pistons not spitting out their block when given a 1-tick pulse and the randomization of Redstone.
